  1. I'd recommend Hoya. I've got a Hoya one, but I've not used it for a while as it's gone missing. By the way, nice watch and great pics.
  2. I just sit there hoping that site is satire. If it is, it's bad satire as its not actually that funny, but if not, I dread to think.
  3. I think I'll post one By-Tor made me buy. Because I'm travelling, it's one of these three. Can you guess which one? Yup, it's time for some heavy metal.
  4. I still don't get it. Everyone knows that you're never going to find a miracle site away from here. Here's a simple rule of thumb I apply to any site posted here. Is it one of our dealers? If not, it's a scam. It really is that simple. If I get it wrong and the site turns out not to be a scam, well, who cares? I'd rather people bought off Josh or Paulmart (and that's saying something) than ventured from the accountability our dealers have here. You wander away from here (or RepGeek, TRC, RWI) and you will get burned. It's why we're here, folks. Don't do it.
  5. Nice cats! Wear them well. (I only have three cats myself.)
  6. Great idea. Apparently, it's accurate (apart from the subdials, of course) and has the right crystal and caseback for the model. ps. I bought a Gaytona for when the moon does indeed blow up. When I took the above picture, it made me laugh so much I couldn't resist.
  7. It's not something that concerns me. I don't think it's a problem, to be honest, but I'll try to make my way to an AD to see if the genuines do it.
  8. Great idea. If I win (which I doubt now) you do the same.
  9. Not your call. I'm not going to play into their games.
  10. Yes, but eBay didn't sell it to you.
  11. It wasn't Klink, if that's what you said. Klink at least has a sense of humour.
  12. I got a very abusive PM from someone on RWI about it. I won't go into details, but it was very unfriendly, calling me by my real name, showing me he had photos of me from the internet. Very disturbing. I won't say who it was, but it was a known poster hiding behind an alias.
  13. Like anyone noticed her hair ...
  14. Your friend is not really your friend. He's more like your pet. If you imagine there's a vacuum inside, what do you think happens every time you unscrew the crown?
  15. Another day away from home, another day with one of these. Today, it's the right hand side one.
  16. Gollum in a hat, eating a fish. Isn't it obvious?
  17. So how are you planning to put them back them safely?
  18. ... and yet you didn't click the "I Agree" icon in my post? See how easy it is to forget?
  19. The IWC Aquatimer has had so much hype, yet I don't think I'll have any problems whatsoever finding plenty to say about it and I know I'll be leaving piles of stuff for other reviewers to cover. Now, in three months, when Aquatimer reviews are old hat, it will be a bit boring, but I doubt it. Besides, while one writer hones his style on yet-another-Steelfish review, he could well be learning the ropes to write the definitive replica Panerai guide ...
  20. I'm sure he'll be back as soon as he stops walking like a saddle-sore cowboy.
  21. No, it's the datacentre where they're hosted that's screwed up. One of their routers is busted.
  22. 40 is the new 30. I read an article in the Glasgow Herald celebrating precisely what Newsweek was complaining about!
  23. If everyone could do that, I'd be happier. Pick a post by anyone and comment on it. Hey, maybe Admin can bring back the Post Of The Month so By-Tor and I can fight over it! If we win the first couple, maybe everyone else will get off their arses and get posting and commenting to beat us!
