  1. Yes, by replying to every post. Just like this.
  2. Not trying to stir it up, but if I were in Richard Tracy's position, I'd not tell you the work you'd done for me as you'd be able to look it up, find out who I was, get my home address and cause trouble. Obviously you'd not do that, but you can understand him at least. I've never had work done by Joe and have no dog in this fight, but hey, it's an open forum, right?
  3. Bow down before my might! Oh, and happy birthday again.
  4. No. The cheaper one doesn't have AR sapphire, iirc.
  5. Yup, it's the simplest kind of web app. Chuck it on a LAMP server and you can have customers see where their watches are in the queue. You can manage expectations as well as your work that way.
  6. All the best, Happy Birthday, Nanuq!
  7. Why don't you keep a list of people whose watch you're working on? That way, you can send out a mass email (or have a friend do it) to everyone waiting. People here are amazingly forgiving if they're kept informed.
  8. Ubi ... rhymes with Noobie. Coincidence? Yeah, Ubi is one of the good guys, without a doubt. Oh, and Pho needs help.
  9. Sorry, no.
  10. Like ... um, rubber? If you've worn a rubber diving strap, it's like one of those. Maybe it's a little softer than my Seiko one or my Panerai 187 one.
  11. Mostly quartz movements. The autos are usually Japanese in origin. Breil and D&G, for instance, are part of the Binda group (along with Lorus, Nike timing, etc.) and they're partnered with Seiko who provide the movements.
  12. Already allocated, I'm afraid.
  13. Seeing as I needed a rubber strap, just like BJB wears in that gambling movie, I decided when seeing Silix advertised them I would get one. Then I saw the postage price and decided not to, until I saw that someone proposed a group-buy of sorts. Good idea, thought I, and ordered four, knowing three people in the UK/EU would take the other three. So, the postman rang the doorbell this morning, waking me from my morning after the night before (Yann Tiersen concert ... went on late) and handed me a packet with some straps in. Anyway, on with the pictures! Ooh, a package. It's got straps in it! Close up Soon to be transplanted. Fitted on my Ultimate PO. Wrist shot. A little big? It feels very good and fits the watch as well as you'd hope. However, I feel on my 6.25" wrist, it seems a little large as it sticks out of the ends of the watch. This is a good thing for the larger wristed as it really looks like it should be on this watch. For us skinnier guys, it may seem like you're wearing a watch that's too big for you. I'll revisit this opinion after having worn it a while, however. Fitting spring bars is a little tricky, but with a bit of force, you'll manage. Should you get one? Sure, it's a very good price for what you get. The three co-conspirators in the group buy will be getting theirs in a few days so they can also write reviews.
  14. Another one here saying Flav's Ebel looks good. Me? Oh, a new strap arrived. I'll be breaking it in.
  15. How did I miss that?
  16. TTK and I were offered a place on the stage once. It was the next stage leaving town and we were told we'd be on it.
  17. Steelfish. Quality has to be seen to be believed. I hear the new Ferrari Panerais are good, but they're not my style.
  18. ... and just for TTK, here are the Wikipedia entries for the above post: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep-fried_pizza http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pakora http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irn_bru Munchy Box doesn't have a 'pedia entry yet ...
  19. You're so out of date! It's all Pizza Crunch Suppers and Chip Pakora now. I don't think you can get more Scottish than a Pizza Crunch Supper or a 12" Munchy Box washed down with Barr's finest.
  20. Wikipedia has replaced google as my search engine in Firefox. It's true, more often than not, you'l get what you're looking for in the pedia than the gle.
  21. It's always good to try out new ideas and I'm glad you did. However, it's also a talent to know when your new ideas aren't perfect.
  22. True, but he could be one of the following: Australian dollar
  23. You sort of forgot to tell us what country you're in.
