  1. Yeah, but it's mostly [censored]. It should say "Absence makes the right arm stronger" if anything.
  2. Mrs Pugwash is just back after spending 4 months in Scotland. It's hard, but as long as you've got a telephone each end, you'll make it. Good luck. Great to see you back.
  3. I'm just wearing a cheap gen today.
  4. Cool. I'll be unemployed in a month. Maybe you need techies, too.
  5. So you like cherry-picking from religion? Nothing wrong with that, but you'll go a lifetime without meeting anyone that agrees with you.
  6. Have a look at the kind of thing people put on gold Radiomirs. That's what I mean.
  7. Something patent deep red leather or croc. Shiny and dark red.
  8. I can guarantee you no-one can answer this as no-one has tested it. If you need a fully working He valve, buy a cheap gen dive watch, like the SUG Nautilus.
  9. People on the gen boards may well be getting [censored] off with our constant posting of replicas on their forums (you know who you are, spacktards) but I doubt it.
  10. The original one is over 60mm iirc.
  11. What's worse is that the javascript grabs the size of the window and forgets to subtract the width of the avatar block from it, meaning you still need to scroll right.
  12. My 1680 and 1665 await their glory!
  13. If for nothing but sentimental reasons, I'd get it restored. As for the strap, I'm trying to imagine it, but I'd really need to see photos.
  14. Fantastic stuff, Admin.
  15. Google has always indexed this site, it's how we all found it ...
  16. I told RT I would look after his new watch section for him, but because people keep posting polls even though the polls are over, it is impossible to manage. Please, please stop posting polls. We've had the results and Jay is making decisions based on those results. The latest request was for posts about watches, not polls. A poll will not show if anyone has commented recently as it will show the latest vote. This makes it impossible to track the posts and any discussions, meaning I've been unable to maintain any sort of active presence there. Please stop voting in the polls as all you do is bump the post as unread, making more recent discussions disappear under a pile of votes. Once we're back on track, we can return to making comments on the watches and maybe Admin will even turn the 'show new posts' feature back on for this subforum.
  17. They're not supposed to be polls any more. If they're polls, they're impossible to manage.
  18. Look up. You'll see my insert pics.

    France

People in France are feeling that they wish they had better choices. Both sides are disliked, but the alternatives are the fascists (Front National) or the communists. Oh, and Sarkozy isn't really as down-the-middle as he's portrayed out of France.
  20. Damn, you beat me to it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pascals_Wager
  21. Now we've clarified that you're talking about God, the Christian God, then no. You're a Christian. You don't need to specify which denomination you are, because you're part of the larger superset of Christianity. Oh, you could be a Satanist, but that's merely a form of Christianity, to be honest. And before I get flamed for that, to be a Satanist, you need to buy into the whole god/satan dichotomy that's a major part of Christianity. Satan is only the bad guy in Christianity, so Satanism wouldn't exist without Christianity. You need to first believe in God before you can believe in Satan. Doing so makes you basically Christian.
  22. The point I was making was that no matter what, we're not getting Valgranges or 2894s in reps. Not in 2007, probably not in 2008, either.
  23. No, please don't. They're not supposed to be polls any more.
  24. How come no-one ever picks on my English? It's respectful of the rules of the game. You get points for that. What we're at odds with here is the difference between Style and Etiquette. From a style point-of-view, a stainless steel Planet Ocean with a classy suit works. From an etiquette point-of-view, it would depend more on the occasion than the suit. There's no point in arguing with the ettiquetier that your taste is better than his as that's simply not the debate. Just like there's no point in telling a Hugo Boss salesman that he shouldn't be wearing that watch in his shop.
  25. God with a capital G? As in Christian God?
