  1. Has Jetmid ever posted to this forum? I mean talk about an old joke ...
  2. Monkeybonkers charges Zero euros for a transfer from your bank. Payment method: Fee Processing time Bank transfer free 2-5 days Credit Card 2.50 % Please verify Cheque 0.50 EUR 10 days It takes 2-5 days to pre-load the cash. Credit card, once verified (which as you can see, I've not finished) is quicker, but has a 2.5% charge. Monkeybonkers is basically the single best option for Euro-spenders.
  3. Cockstraps are go! ps. if you ever come across fish skin in your travels, give me a shout. I've wanted to try the salmon leather for a while.
  4. Depends on the size of their heads.
  5. Here's the explanation I posted to RWI: A rattrapante (meanse catch-uppy-thing in french, or catcher-upper) has two chrono second hands. The reset button can pause one of the hands for split-times, but the main one keeps going. You can then press the button again and it catches up like a catchy-uppy-thing, hence the name. Conversely, a flyback chrono resets instantly on the press of a button, allowing you to start timing again quickly. This used to be called Retour-en-vol, which any schoolboy will tell you means to go back to steal something ... oh, I mean return-flyingly.
  6. It's a great feeling to win. I can't wait for PoM watch 2 to arrive ... Chris is the only person to know what it's like, and his experience has to be tempered with troubles.
  7. I recently used the term cockstrap, but that wasn't for a rep ...
  8. For all-time classic looks, 111 or 183.
  9. 2(3.14x.5^2) > 3.14x1 The larger hole will allow more out, if that is the only bottleneck. Was that seriously the right answer?
  10. I wonder how much [censored] it takes to fill a 25cm pipe ...
  11. If I were to have posted it, I'd have done it like so: Name one eight letter word that has kst in the middle, in in the beginning, and at the end? That way, you can say "in in the beginning" and no-one would notice.
  12. jearle@debaser$ grep kst /usr/share/dict/words | egrep ^........$ | egrep and$ inkstand That'd be Inkstand
  13. I've been known to bash out the occasional tune on a midi keyboard, but I'm so rubbish I have to clean it up in a sequencer after. There's an example in my Photoshop video.
  14. Welcome back.
  15. I like this advice, it makes sense. Like always give a tough opponent an easy way out if you're going to win, otherwise it'll cost you.
  16. I got it from a member on RWI ages ago. The PAW SS Bracelet annoyed me, so I put this one on. I've ordered a 22mm Bond for my Seiko and a 20mm black for everything else fromTime Factors in the UK. I'll tell you all about them when they arrive.
  17. If you like curry, and want to make it at home, I picked up a copy of this on eBay. Mrs Pugwash and I spent a day making restaurant-style sauces. Top stuff.
  18. I use Oracle, but we're moving away from it. Licensing fees per CPU when our trend is to throw smaller redundant CPUs at a problem means that if we just heap fast drives and RAM on top of MySQL or Postgres, or even SQL-lite, we can get similar results. I've been exceedingly vocal in moving all our old services (Broadvision, Solaris, HPUX, etc) to Open Source solutions and Oracle is the last hurdle. Sure, we lose some functionality, but we can do that cheaper on the application server. Fun stuff.
  19. I wish you all the best, unless you refer to it as the 'miracle' of birth, then I have to shun you.
  20. If all the pictures don't show, hit refresh: They'll get there.
  21. ... and the IWC 3707-003? No, it's got two tells.
  22. He's Back! YAY!
  23. Why? I do believe that's a genuine Tudor. In fact they state it's a redial in the text: "THE ROLEX TUDOR HAS BEEN REFINISHED IN A SILVER OR GREY DIAL WITH DIAMOND AND RAISED MARKERS. DIAL STATES ROLEX, OYSTER PERPETUAL, DATEJUST, TUDOR, SWISS"
