  1. At a guess, I'd say it's a photo of a gen, and that's not what you'd receive if you ordered one.
  2. Ok, look at the size of these watches before you get too invested. The Sub is the smallest of those watches and it's a 40mm standard.
  3. I've not posted an in-depth review in well over a year. Why? Because the returns stopped being worth it. I found that while putting in a huge amount of effort at the beginning was superbly gratifying, once I'd done a bunch of articles everyone had read, after that the work was taken for granted and the feedback just petered out. I believe several high-profile posters (esp. The Zigmeister) have also commented on this phenomenon. I no longer take part in wrist-checks as religiously as I did as it appears most people post in there to post and don't even comment on or read what others are wearing. I feel that myself and other old-school posters are pretty much treated as background noise. We're no longer discovering new stuff, but we're merely the curmudgeonly old duffers sat be-slippered by the fireplace moaning about how it all used to be fields in our day. I was only born with so many replies to "Who has the best Sub" in me, and I spent them a long time ago. Oh, and I was going to do a comprehensive super-post recently, but had the wind taken out of my sails when someone else did it before I finished it.
  4. 32mm? That's over 10mm smaller than the SOSF.
  5. It's a superb watch, and if your GF can pull off wearing a big heavy man's watch, it'll look damned good on her.
  6. Armstrong himself said he first heard this when he heard a comedian telling it, so it's ot even a myth: it's a joke that some people decided to pass off as true.
  7. Chanel J12 in white ceramic. Or, she could go all Lohan and wear a daytona.
  8. That's fighting talk. No. No, it isn't.
  9. It's also worth noting TTK is no longer dealing on this forum.
  10. Really? Have you ever seen the vintage Rolex reps available anywhere else? Please share your info.
  11. I bought my RAZR v3i in MBK. It wasn't fake and it was a great price.
  12. He will? I'd get that confirmed before buying, if I were you.
  13. Of course it can be done. The problem is both client and server need to explicitly be told to use the non-standard ports.
  14. iirc, the 30110 is a 2892 with IWC bits. The 7750 used in the chronos is just as heavily reworked.
  15. Michael Barbier Konstantine gave me a free watch to post that. Who am I to refuse?
  16. Here's a "What is an MBW?" post that explains the history of the marque.
  17. I wish I could help you. I got it off a fellow member here and I've since sold it.
  18. Port 137 is your Windows sharing being probed. Port 1900 is most likely Windows Messenger, scanning for UPNP. None of this is dangerous, but it's why network administrators consider Windows a hateful liability. You connect your PC to the LAN and it tells everyone around you "Hey, look at me! Try and see if I'm sharing stuff or providing services!" without your approval.
  19. I am not getting this one. I'd hate to be disappointed with it. If it's not a near-perfect replica, what's the point these days?
  20. What a beauty! Your photos can be fixed really easily: Put everything (including the camera) in a light pillow case. No more over-shiny highlights.
  21. Steady on, old chap! It's not like he burned the money while laughing at weeping orphans. Disgusting? What business is it of anyone's how they spend their spare money?
