They're known as "Marriage" watches. They take pocket-watch movements and dials and transplant them into custom-made cases.
You'll sometimes see IWC and Omega Marriage watches made from old pocket watches.
If it didn't have the stupid name, if you could find an auto-chrono movement that does what you want for $600, if you removed some of the flair that's put there just so you can make it look designed, then most likely yes.
It looks a little fashion quartz, but an auto-chrono for $600? Hell yeah.
Very worthwhile. I did it and got a decent suit. The cuts are a little oriental in their style, but if you like how the mooks in John Woo movies dress, you will like the suits.
As for Mont Blanc, I used gen refils in my rep without a problem. It's like putting an ETA in a Breitling rep: functionally identical.
Having said all that, I agree for the most part with Slay.
Oh, and another advantage of cropping is you can get a horrendous amount of macro onto the forums
Original macro photo reduced to 640px wide:
Pixel-for-pixel crop of that same photo:
Vignetting is a tool in a photographer's arsenal that is only needed when trying to achieve a specific effect. The best way to get rid of unintentional vignetting is to crop the picture.
Reversal rings are cheap and very effective. Now you've seen what you can do, you now know the $5 is well worth it.
Keep going, your watches are some of the ones I want to see more macros of!
The best lie Fox made anyone believe is they myth of a Liberal Media bias. Disagree with Fox? Oh, the liberals control the media!

One person shot JFK. However, there were people behind him. The official US government report after the Warren Commission states there was a conspiracy. There wasn't a cover up, they just didn't know the whole story at first. They still don't know the whole story: That's the lesson we should take from this.
... and none of this came from the trial of Clay Shaw.
Agreed. Garrison was a little bit insane, according to his peers. He wasn't the driven and stable hero portrayed by Kevin Costner. The movie JFK also fabricated whole sections of the trial, and its portrayal of the Magic Bullet (CE399) was rather blinkered.
All recent high-tech research seems to demonstrate the 'single bullet theory' holds water.
