  1. Happy Birthday Jackjo!

  2. I am excited to see what you find inside this thing as well.
  3. That is a very sweet build you have there!
  4. Happy Birthday Jackjo!

  5. LIke I was saying about the older dials. My buddy purchased a gen black dial from our Breitling dealer 2 years ago and the dial looks terrible. The hour markers look like they were taken off of a Yachtmaster or something. They changed the dials of the last few model years. Never cared for them after that. Yours are super thick. That is the personality of this watch are the markers IMO.
  6. No, it originally came with the Professional bracelet. Breitling changed to the Pro II maybe the next year or 2 years later. It looks more modern on the Pro 2 I will admit but I am just an old fashioned guy. I actually recently picked up an original gen Steelfish Pro bracelet from a member here. I want to build the original blue steelfish that I had once again. I was pretty close to buying the gen on ebay the other night.
  7. That is a sweet piece, BT. I miss mine. I love the thick indices around the lume of the older dials. Mind if I share a shot too? This is mine that was bought back in 06.
  8. One great thing about this version is they have really improved the dial lume over the last Noob Ceramic Sub that I had. I put this next to my gen GMT 116710 and the markers look exactly the same. Indicie surrounds are nice and thin and no lumps in the lume which some of the SubC and DSSD suffer from.
  9. It appears to have the same serial # as the new LV Hulk model which also has the funky rehaut. Probably not as bad in person but needs to be fixed.
  10. Those are stunning. I wonder when the Avenger dials will start becoming available. Any luck locating these? Polished stencils or batons?
  11. I am interested to see how the ceramic insert looks in person. In the pictures it looks much flatter than the slanted ceramic inserts of the past. This would be a big bonus. Rehuat looks a little too sloped but I ordered one just to see how it looks.
  12. my gen does not click much different than most of the reps I have handled. Even the gen has a different feel to what we are used to with the older versions. I think the reps are pretty comparable.
  13. No, I am referring to the metal circle indices around the lume at the 1, 2, 4, 5, etc. It is considerably thinner on the newer gen dials. I am not sure where the change took place but I compared mine to my friends newer gen and it really blew me away that the dials looked that different. His had the newer arrow second hand and the thicker hour & minute hands also when compared to mine. My buddy even noticed it and he is not psychotic about this sort of thing like I am.
  14. This is one factor that I could not stand about the newer Steelfish models was the thinner indicies. It really takes away from the impact or character that the older version had. IMO opinion anyway. Here is my gen blue dial X-plus from 2005. Miss the Pro bracelet also.
  15. Mikellem, thanks a lot. Now I am going to be looking for birds out my window every time I fly from now on. It was pretty cool how it turned out though. I don't think it would have looked as smooth landing in a corn field or something.
