  1. The only glaring flaw I used to see on the dials with numerials, was how the sub dials cut off the numbers. The Gen does this also, but older versions weren't quite right. They cut too much of the 4 and two off. This one looks really good...maybe just a mm off or less. Real nice watch guy.
  2. You never know Pug maybe someone will take you up on your offer, a relatively cheap investment for a dealer if it can yield even a half a dozen sales. Plus you take excellent pics
  3. I think the way it's working now is Ruby is just going to honor that price on an individual basis. Her email is goldmedal88@126.com She'll give you the details.
  4. Way to go for clearing things up Josh
  5. Ok I'm going crazy deciding to get one or not. So help me. I already have a Serie Special Black dial. So I'm leaning towards the white dial. But there is something classic and compelling about the black. What to do? Is it safe to say the white dial is the most "accurate" in this version as far as sub dials are concerned. Also do they have any AR coating my current model does have a light coating which is nice.
  6. But wouldn't the recent PAM 187 fit that description also? In the frenzy that was created when that became available no one mentioned the potential problem of the movement.
  7. How do we aquire this paypal account info, from her or was it posted somewhere?
  8. So the questions are: Do we have confirmation of movement? 7750 old or 7750b newer Do we have the third party paypal account for those who want to use? Does Ruby or can Ruby handle the amount of orders she gets? Does her watch have the slight "pie pan" effect or are subdials flat? Gen has pie pan????
  9. I had a small email conversation with Josh also regarding this version. His story was the same as Andrew's. Trashy movement and not as good as the versions they currently have. Know I'm not taking anything away from Ruby I don't know her, and some poeple who've dealt with her seem pleased. But my instinct says stay with Andrew or Josh. I've never been screwed by them, they're honest and know their stuff. If it were better they'd have it already. Just look at the PAM 187. When that first came out there was a frenzy only one guy selling it. Then in no time both Andrew and Josh had it too. Not to meniton the Josh could undercut Ruby's price but wouldn't touch that model due to inferior movement. I'm out...not to mention after you factor back in WU fee's it's $260 at least. I'm not just buying the watch but also the person selling it to me.
  10. Hopefully the dealers who use paypal will still honor it for those of us who have proven our trustworthyness. Maybe shut it down for all new buyers? Surely our dealers have record or memory of who's been no problem to them. Just a thought
  11. This stuff is just [censored]. I for one am sick of seeing these posts. They are happening all to freqeuntly.
  12. Well considering this confrontation took place in a gym, I assume both you and your advisary are to good muscular shape, I'm surprised this didn't end with fists Actually good story...but you know what some people are stubborn and can't be lead to the promised land. Hell if I spent $900 on a rep, which I almost did before stumbling on to this board, I too would be defensive to know that I got taken. Next time you see him shut him up by showing him all of the nice watches you have that totaled his one for $900.
  13. I agree $220 plus WU fees doesn't make the buy so sweet, I can buy it outright from one of our dealers for that price.
  14. Ok this might be a problem depending on where everyone is located. I'm in the US and never had any custom issues. I can vouch that Josh or Andrew would guarantee delivery.
  15. I just got a response from Ruby saying $220 is the best price. Has to be WU but she didn't say how we go about doing this. Are we to each buy on our own, (kind of takes away the group thing) unless that just makes a good price available. I would like to see how the Josh/Andrew thing pans out, as I'd rather go with Paypal, not to mention I've used Josh and Andrew several times before.
  16. I think it's supposed to work at least Jsoh indicated as such. @TTK I'm not saying there isn't any in NJ, I just haven't been able to find one as of yet. Most places just drop in batteries, and other jewelery stores farm out the work and are reluctant to give you their POC. I'm sure if I went into NYC I might be able to find one. I might just end up living with it. Just bugs me to know it's not working.
  17. Well got my 187 from Josh the other day. Everything about the watch is great...except while I was "burning" in the chronograph, I noticed the running hours at six hand never moves. I let it run for hours and nothing just stays fixed at 12:00. Other than that keeps great time everything resets perfectly. So what to do..I emailed Josh and I'm waiting response. I really hate to send it back across the globe, not sure if it's an easy fix. I certainly can't do it. NO SKILLS WHAT SO EvER What sucks is that I'm in New Jersey and there isn't a watch guy anywhere, at least that I know of. Any insight would be appreciated.

  19. I'm still interested..guess we'll have to see what a final price would be. I wish paypal is an option, never used WU and moneybookers is somewhat of a pain.
  20. I'd be interested in a black SS band with stick markers at that price
  21. Nobody takes advantage of Andrew...he's the best and doesn't deserve this. Andrew I'm in NJ, I'll see what I can do for you, if not TO HIM.
  22. Thanks for your post to my request. The straps came out really really good. I love the look. Checking my options now. Great job.
  23. That's because it looks like Paul might be on the mvoe with.... www.bestswiss-watches.com He's too fly by night for me..Hey By-Tor a Rush reference!!! My brother had a sucessful order from him awhile back, horrible communication but the watch came. This site looks like the Aspire site, except no more Walmart pricing
  24. Was a good post Fletch, well done I however, didn't care for the movie :yucky: But Fletch is on to something...money is the motivator and there is profit. My brother often wonder what is it really $50 per watch $100? Not to mention the US dollar conversion factor. Don't get me wrong they have a right ot make a profit. But I agree no favor being done...it's all about green disease.
  25. I'm really amazed. I've been bouncing between here and the other boards reading this topic. First I'm quite shocked to learn that this behavior is so rampant. Buyers scamming dealers. Quote the irony. I mean most of us who found this site did so because we the buyers were afraid of being scammed by some dealer. I mean Josh getting screwed, EL having his paypal suspended over five freaking dollars, etc. Silly [censored] if you ask me. But I suppose it goes hand and hand with some of the members being attracted to this fourm. Lately a lot of complaint postings. "Did you Know the 187 is extremely flawed?" "Is the case size of the new PO really 45mm?" I mean sure it makes for an interesting read when I have nothing else to do, but these are REPS!. You see for $200-$300 you get in my opinon a pretty decent quality watch certainly on par with a citzen or such. I'm not expecting AD quality, I can live with the flaws that's why I buy it. Now it's nice to see the eagle eyes who know their [censored], hell I've learned a lot in six months here. But I've turned my brother and my father onto this hobby and combined we're good for around 30 watches, not to shabby for dealer's I've dealth with in half a year. Maybe the solution, and it's been brought up before, is a paid membership; with active banishment should these things occur with members. Just a thought. I don't know Andrew and Josh personally and they don't know me, but I kind of feel like I do. They have made every transaction a pleasure and Andrew especially has gone above and beyond at times, with always my appreciation and praise. In return for that kind of service more business, a lot more. (I just placed a $600 order with Josh yesterday)Anyone I know that wants to play this game...I say let me point you to the right place and person. Word of mouth priceless. And dealing with someone 6000 miles away and making it painless more priceless. [censored] I can't even go to my local department store and get that 99% of time. It just sucks to see this happening. It's always the few who screw it up for the majority. Most of the people here are intelligent, respectful and helpful to everyone. It just kills me that someone would tarnish their rep over a rep
