  1. mine will go just about 2 days off my wrist, after wearing a full day
  2. very true i've had several Sunday EMS deliveries
  3. Mine spent 5 days over the Valentine's Day snow storm, stuck in customs...it did come eventually. just be patient.
  4. For a 7750 I would wind the crown in the forward position gently. I typically wind all my watches regardsless of movements this way. Also, because its an automatic, you really don't need to wind too much or at all. Should start to run with a few gently swirls of the watch in your hand. Also be very careful setting the date of this movement. Do not set the date between 10:00 and 3:00 as it could cause damage to the gears. Best way is to rotate hands until you find AM...set watch to say 6 or 7 am...then change date...then set current time. Works for me.
  5. did you search? have you read this: http://www.rwg.cc/members/Care-and-feeding...ents-t2715.html
  6. I got the same thing going on as welll...just no pics though I suck.
  7. But I think that the copy of the 2824 is not the same as what Josh or Andrew are using in the Ultimate PO "lite" model. I have one and the supposed asian copy 2824 doesn't look like that.
  8. Very true Babola..One man's misfit watch is another's treasure
  9. What didn't you like about it, the dial? I mean I understand I have watches that I just don't wear often..liked them for a while but then the feeling went away...God if i was buying gens do you think I would ever be happy? That's the nice thing about this hobby...get to try everything once...well almost.
  10. I feel better now mines the 199
  11. Damn Shultzie..don't say that because I have the upgraded one on the way from Josh...which is why I sold my 024. I figured I'd like the dial and polished case better. Now I might regret that...Old man's watch Seriously I gave throught to using one of my SS bracelets, but that might be overbearing. I found even with the 024 rubber seemed to work best.
  12. Does Mont Blanc fall into that category as well? I only ask because when I was in an AD for MB the saleman noticed my 111 And told me that Mont Blanc and Panerai had an affiliation. I just agreed with him as to keep the conversation rolling, but actually never heard that before. So when I saw your post I wondered if in fact they were all under the same "house".
  13. i had this problem with my PAM 187 where the hour indicator never moved...just sent it back to the dealer for replacement. If you just got it like that I'd contact the dealer.
  14. When I spoke to Josh he claimed this would be out April 1-15th timeframe
  15. All mine work fine...but then again very little chrono use and in a deep rotation with the other reps.
  16. I sort of agree with the above post. I think with two of the largest dealers (Josh & Andrew) having a gateway through their respective websites, they aren't so reliant to advertise and promote their wares here. Also the watch guru's do have high expectations and the newbs just plain scare the [censored] out of them due to a rash of paypal complaints. Then there is the complainers that are never happy and just [censored] to [censored]. I do miss their input and occasional comments. I know that both Josh and Andrew are decent guys and certainly their intent isn't to screw anyone over. Any problems have always been handled fairly and honorable. And overall the problems have been minimal. I can live with some of the flaws, that's half the fun..to research, compare, more research, pine for the watch, more research, indecision, then buy. That's sort of how it goes. QC that's always an issue, not sure if that will ever be truely resolved. What scares me more is the change and disguise of movements. It used to be asian or eta pretty easy, now eta isn't always ets, then there are copies etc. Now there is a lot of doubt of what's really in the watch, and maybe the dealers don't really know.
  17. Cool, so that's like 3 of us..if I include my brother then 4.
  18. I'd say Chanel J12 also Josh has a nice box set for under $200 that can't be beat, also burberry, the wife has one that also came with a killer box set. I think she might be too young for the rolex. The others would suit her more and maybe handle the abuse an 18 year old can dish out better.
  19. Bannish him without remorse. This is uncalled for. No way to speak on a forum. This isn't RWI, and I'm not even sure that would be tolerated there. Admin do your job.
  20. Well at least we're getting somewhere. Yes there would be a lot of details to sort through. But I figured I'd be willing to go an hour or so in any direction which leaves a lot of territory and 3 or so states in consideration. I just wanted to see if enough members were even close enough together to make it happen.
  21. I know..but after hearing nothing but horror stories with 7750's and chronographs not resetting or hands slipping, I still whince everytime I use mine and reset them.
  22. I would totally suck at trying to coordiante this, but I'm always envious of the many get togethers I've seen that I can't attend due to geographical differences. So I guess I just wanted to see how many members are in the NJ/NY area. I'm in northwest jersey not too far from NYC and eastern PA, so that should include a lot of member right? maybe? Let's see where this goes I guess. I think it might be fun.
  23. WOW I was getting scared there for a moment almost the same feeling everytime I go to reset one of my own, always waiting for it to break
