Quote from the film. But I was LMAO at your comment thinking of my brother mucking around trying to get things to work.

I took the asian in black w/ orange numbers. I have the swiss w/ orange bezel. Personally I have no issues with the asian version. Fit and finish exactly the same, just the movement difference. My pearl is fine...I think that might have been an isolated iissue and not something plauging this version. You can tell it's not swiss just by winding the watch..non-swiss movements just have a different feel to them. But I think the asian movement in this watch is better than the 21 jewel movements they were putting in the rolex subs, those gave me nothing but problems.

Not the weekend yet for me, but hopefully my brand new BCE in graphite. If the nice mail man, oops...person brings it tomorrow.

Sure it counts..MAME is real nice to re-visit when times were just simpler...a little pacman or phoenix.

HAL 9000 (Heuristically programmed ALgorithmic computer) Awesome movie...shitty operating system, my brother is struggeling with Vista as we speak, now looking to run dual operating systems. I'm sticking with XP for now. " I've just picked up a fault in the AE35 unit. It's going to go 100% failure in 72 hours"

Far Cry was real good...probably because it was a blind buy and nothing real hot at the time, everyone was anticipating Doom 3 and Half-Live 2. I recently enjoyed Jaws Unleashed and still love to kill time with the GTA series. Madden is a good time also.

Does anyone know what strap size to look for on this watch. I have one on the way, and I'm sure the rep strap will get old quick. Wanted to shop ahead. So what size should I be looking for, any website suggestions would also be helpful. Thanks much

Good point, I thought the very same thing. I feel bad for ths child. Not so much for who will be raising her, but how she will be raised. I mean this woman's life revolved around money and greed, as well as other not so nice things. I'd hate to think that this child will not grow up "normal" or at the very least loved.

Hmmm...interesting I see what you mean now. My asian model has a pearl similar to your ETA one. Maybe your pearl just needs replacing.
-
That would be Joshua. I just got the 45mm Ultimate Asia..I really didn't have any issues with quality or pearl.
-
I got the black one for $200 it's full ceramic came from Joshua. No issues and feels and looks like the genuine. By the way aren't you the guy who put the dispute against Johsua's paypal account over this watch?

Interesting story about bagels, I'm from Jersey, and yes outside of the NY area bagels are well...just not bagels. I was on travel in California years ago, went to a small eatery for breakfast and got a bagel...suprise just like home. I asked the guy, how they manage to make a bagel that tastes like bagels from back east. He's says "the water", they import the water back from NY. Now I don't know if this is pure BS or not. But I bought it. Sounded like a fun time. I wish a get together in the NJ/NY area would happen.

Anybody???

my guess gen...but there are others with much keener senses.

If you look at his selling history apparently he's sold one previoulsy for $1,125 and the guy gave great feedback. He's also sold some posters and a chedder cheese cookbook for .01 Too funny

Ok bare with me on this.... I've had my 42mm PO for almost a year, lately when i unscrew the crown to set the date/time the (for lack of a better term) "action" of the crown feels stiff. Not grinding, just not smooth anymore. The watch still works fine, i can set date and time and of course wind it, it keeps accurate time. But the whole crown thing is concerning me. It almost feels like if i shoot some WD-40 on it that would improve it. (Of course I wouldn't think of really trying that). Anyone every experience this, or is this just the one of flaws of owning reps. Not this in particular but in general. Strange thing is that I dont ever remember it feeling this off, it was never as smooth as some of my other ETA movements, but just seem to have gotten worse. I opened the case back to peek, but was too afraid to go pulling out the crown stem, as I've messed up some 21 jewel watches in the past poking around. Suggestions???? Thanks

Ok good, at least the watch is fine, and you learned how most automatics function to set date and time. Agreed a push pin tool is probably needed. If you're not sure just take it to a local jeweler they do re-sizing, probably charge you $10.
-
That's strange...did you try unscrewing it first. I've never had a problem with an automatic before. Does it wind, when you turn the crown? It may have a problem.
-
As I haven't received my J12 yet, can't help you on sizing it, although i've read it has pins. As far as setting time, is it quartz or automatic? If quartz, then winding will do nothing, you probably have to pull out the crown. If automatic, then not sure if it has a screw out crown.

Andrew & Josh's Response To The Little White Lies Thread...
Steve G replied to trustywatchguy's topic in General Discussion
Just curious and really not trying to start anything but....I personally have dealt almost exclusively with one of the mentioned dealers here and personally haven't had any issues with the products I've received over 30 watches. I feel I got what i paid for and any issues along the way were resolved in a professional manner. Now I don't claim to be an expert on watches, I know a little to me it's always been about how accurate the rep is. Maybe I see through the advertising wording...Maybe I don't put much value on words such as 1:1, Sapphire, ETA...Maybe I don't care. After all these are fake watches right? Most people that are buying are taking $200-$300 that they could have purchased a citzen or seiko and decided they would rather have a knock off of something they most likey cannot afford or don't want to pay for. Who is so honest in selling fake illegal products, giving you're money's worth and providing good service after the fact? This board is great for information and for each buyer to learn and absorb as much as they can or want to. -
Puretime U Amaze Me My Friend ,(graphite Dial) Breitling Evo Chronomat
Steve G replied to rbj69's topic in The Breitling Area
Very nice watch, and good write up. Enjoy it. Now I want one. -
Joshua is certainly a good choice. He does have a 45.5mm PO just look at his website more carefully. I have one on the way as I type. I agree with the others if you want the same watch to wear daily the $188 sub is very nice, not worth spending more, you might as well pick out another watch for that money. If you're new to this hobby, you'll probably never buy a gen again. Good luck

If you're in the US, then you can track through USPS, it's much more accurate. EMS tracking site is slow and sometimes never updates past the sorting facility in the country if left from. If your not in the US you might want to check the carrier that would ultimately deliver the package to you.

The chanel J12 is nice. wife and I saw it in person, the white ceramic looks very nice and classy on a female. It's got a very unique look.

Thanks all. I got lucky this past weekend and registered an account. Should I accumulate some codes I'll be happy to pass along. Apparenlty they have open registration on weekends, must have changed their policy recently.
