  4. Nice one, hel;l of a lot of cash to stick in but i assume worth it in the end?
  5. I know the hands are available from cousins UK
  6. Welcome, and good story, always better when there is a happy end to them
  7. Welcome, the sales forum here may be a good place to start selling but in order to do that you must be a supporting member, but it is only somthing like 2Cts US a day, about 1p in real money
  8. Looks nice, i dont think i would have aged the bezel insert quite as much though but that is personal taste. Tell us about this date wheel you made
  9. I am not sure about the new ones but i had to take out 2 links you may be tight on this but there must be spare links about
  10. There are a number of sellers on the bay and i doo agree that it is the easy option by then it is still pot luck in what condition it is in i bought quite a few last december from helenarow (25+) and they were all fine after regualation and checking. 13. I am now using the photo bucket ap and then pasting it in to the post in safari bit I normally just read the forum with the IPB FORUM ap I want to have a go with tapatalk before I buy it
  14. If i was going to to it i think i would stick the case in the lathe with the bezel/crystal ect removed and use a bit of emery paper on the end of peg wood to keep the rehaut flat and uniform
  15. Just not under water today
  16. The 3135 Asian is nothing more than a decorated clone 2836 with bits that have been known to fall off. It is functionally no better than a 2836 and at times worse dure to the bits that fall off. Don't waste your money.
  17. I will have a look for the part from my suppliers here and see what price I can get it for
  18. I don't have a pic unfortunately ne aware that you should have to polish the bit after you remove the metal
  19. Where are you in the world kv
  20. You can replace part of the keyless works to make it singe click if it is an eta or mod the existing setting yolk by removein a bit of metal
  21. I only have the 2 BCEs and one is a black bird so i never noticed the difference before, and you say you see the same in Gens?
  22. This is not a problem generaly, it is nothing more than a keyless works problem, if the screw has come a littlew loose then the groove on the stem can pull past the retaining pin on the setting lever, you may be able to reset it buy removing the CG for more control unscrew the stem retianing screw another half turn but the crown to what should be the hand setting position, tighten the screw and it should reset the pin in the grove on the stem. It just takes a bit of feeling. The problem here is caused by the srew loosening off every time you pull the crown, if you look at that retaining screw on the back as you open and close the crown you may some times see it turn back and forth but if it only turns when you push the crown in then it may be loosening its self.
  23. Is the dial and hands still one, because to fix it that will all have to come off
