I have the hand wind one with sapphire and i would recomend it, althougth it is not one 100% perfect in yerms of optical acuracy it keeps time to with in 3 seconds a day, the chrono works great and just feels great, a bit of polish and oil on the bracelet and it is wonderfull, see the review in my sig and here is a photo of it being used in my job when i was out in Canada this year welcome to RWG

Thanks Silty, i have heard good things about this place and the kits from the cutom bike world, and like to do every thing my self, I aways hated send my pait work out when building bikes becase i tried and just could not do it. I have emaild this place in UK for info so, it is a wait and see for answers for them, how long did it take to pen place with silver say to do a square centimter?

I wish i could be stood in a bar with one of these people while they spout this type of crap. I do understand that they may be miffed as they paid full whack for there watches and dont want it devalued by everyone thinking it is a rep, but they really need toget their facts right, most start by saying that all reps are cheep quartz with mineral glass not "real" sapphire like theirs! and then go on with so much drivel!

All watch crystals that are sapphire are synthetic Sapphire, but as you say is this a euphemism for mineral glass, with some seller yes! bea carefull ask questions and read reviews from other that have bought the same watch. Movements? what do you want to pay and to who, some dealers will sell you a clone and say it is ETA, some will sell you the ETA and it will be, the 21J asain 21.600, is a good work horse movement, nothing wrong with it all. personaly i would go with the asian 2836, the hand size and dial feet are in the right place and size so an upgrade will be easy IF andy thing goes wrong with the clone.

A goood try but i think we had lots more in brussels last year. so how was the GTG, the people the food the drink?

The MMs are a homage to Panerai, they are basicaly our reps but branded with a different name so thay can be sold semi legaly, i think that MM recently ran into problems with the crown guard issue and copyright issues, i would not pay more than i would for a rep for one.

Have you checked if the crown spring mech is working first before you replace the stem, remove the crown and stem and see if the part where the stem screws into, copmresses into the rest of the crown, I am assuming that this steelfish did not always wind the rotor, But then again just do what Z says and leave it.
