  1. Touche Laz PS Sorry also for the phone pics PPS i just spent a couple of mins looking at this trying to work out which is the gen and then looked at my wrist and realised i put the rep in the box and the gen on the wrist, that is how close then can be.
  2. Cats maybe you should read this post when the grades of eta movements were disscussed.
  3. I just bought a gen, i spent all my savings that i had been saving since 94, i am not a rich person, However i could afford to buy this just once, I could have had any number of breitlings, omegas but i was put off by the fact the rep is soooo good. Ok i bougt and Ingy, and the rep is just as good but the difference is inside, The breitling cal 17 is just a well put together eta 2824, the coaxial in the omega is a well made modified 2892, i could have a number of these but i went for the ingy because I like the way it looks and what is inside. And you know what i have had the rep on my wrist all bar a few hours since i got the gen. At the end of the day i dont think the lower end gens (ETA based) are worth the money.
  4. As above, also two very different watches, hard to define what you are looking for.
  5. There was a post somewhere saying the pushers look too big but looking at those pics they look just right! Just the crown that looks a bit too wide. Seconds @ 9 should be reliable as well.
  6. Hnn I have been seeing SOSF appear in my local ADs with the pro bracelet and also HE @ 10, cant remember which seconds hands they have though, also the screws in the bezel are more pronounced as well.
  7. It proberbly needs more movement than you are giving it to keep it fully wound, you should not realy wind that movement by hand, if so very gently, do a search and you will find out why, wear the watch for a 24 hour period and thewn take it off in the evening see how long the watch runs for with out ANY movement, the PR should be about 42 hours. if it is any less, try the next test, wear the the watch on a particualy active day (if you dont have active days then go and "rent Debie does Dallas" watch the film and then take off your watch and wait to see what the power reserve it, if it is batter then:- a. you need a more active life style b. You have an excuse to watch porn (it is not the same watching it with your partner unless they wear the watch) PS this is advice for the male members, if you dont fall into that category please incert film and or other fitting activity to provide wrist movement such as tennis ect to avoid embarassment.

  11. I belive that Chris is in BK this wekend and will have difficultys answering mail, i am sure that he will get back to you as soon as he is back home wherever that is for him. One thing i liked about my dealing with him was the comunication.
  12. hey Steve and faults you can see in the rep?
  13. I belive from what i have read is that the gen was only in yellow gold, also it should NOT have AR, but it does improve the watch though!
  14. Dash-mounted stopwatches, chronograph wristwatches, macho timepieces... do we really need them? Every time I fly from Heathrow Terminal One I make a point of visiting the Omega Watch Emporium (as I'm sure it must be called) and trying on the Railmaster XXL. I've now done this so often that last time I was there the endlessly patient woman who runs the place was already removing it from the display cabinet as I approached, rather in the way the landlord of my local starts pouring my pint as soon as I walk through the door. I doubt I'll ever buy it, because it's
  15. That is VERY nice in RG Pix, Strange you find the deployent hard to use, i find them one of the best, I will go and find the story of this watch. here you go mate, i will look for more
  16. I see by you local time you are in uk so i would recomend cousins uk, you will need as already said, tweasers hand removers and setter, i would get a stick of rodico, it is like bluetac and good for removing oil, dust and finger prints ect and get a good set of screw drivers. oh and a crate of beer for when you are finished! Good luck and have fun learning.

I doupt that is coresponds witha gen version but is a nice looking wath if that is your style, and the movement well i have a breitling rep i bought in Iraq a number of years ago and it runs flawlessly, but you never know with reps, get it and see, what have you lost if it is not quite what you wanted.
