You know what though the thing i miss on the railmaster is a date function i just wish the gen had it, i have my fiddy on most days and have to write the date all the time at work i keep looking at my wrist for inspriation but the date is not there, but it is a great watch to look at all day lol
-
Is that the same works as the original would have, if so what would the bridge say on it?, grweat looker though,
-
Does this function actualy work on the other 187s out there, thought that it would be either an hour follower or dead any way, like everyone wants to do with there speedmasters?
-
Are you sure ?
-
Please tell me more, i know that the old seamaster 30s and 120 look simliare but if you can add more tyo this discussion please do, proof that this moddle exists would be nice.
-
Still not here was released from customs on friday but my works post can sometimes take a while maybe tomorrow.
-
If it was vintage it would no be a co-axial works though!, that type of escarpment has only been in production the last few years, that there fore rules out the vintage years.

This is a dial for the Omega Railmaster XXL 2806.52.37 But that has railmaster and no 6 the one you show has a 6 and says seamaster also the subdial is to high for the xxl (eta) works.
-
My railmaster was released from customs on friday so i hope it will get to me in the next couple of days so i can take some pics of that, but i am thinking of getting a seamaster one as well, like i said before just for the rareity, i just wish they would make the XXL in the same detail that the FA Jones was Made.
-
Dont get me wrong i am not saying they are all that good but they are not as bad as some will have you belive.
-
I dont know what watch that is off but it is nor a railmaster xxl as there is no space for the 6 with the real eta based works omega home rail xxl if this was a 7750 based rep dial it would have the right spacing i think but the 6 subdial on that would be the hours for the stopwatch or an hours follower, or it would have to have the same mods as the daytona works to move the sec sub dial to 6. The reason i think this is if you look at the railmaster chrono it has a 7750???? works and the subdial spacing for this gen looks the same as the one you show above. I think i will get one of these seamaster/railmaster ones just for the rareity of it fantasy or not.

Most people here would cover there rpes if it started to rain i belive, we all want at least 95% acuracy but when it comes to water resistance many people just say well what do you expect from a rep. Well a couple of weeks i was sailing in the baltic sea (Team building week from work, i dont do this all the time), the crew and i were on deck having a beer and a chat and the the subject came round to my cheep old seadweller rep, they knew it was a rep but thought it would not be water proof so to prove it (i had been drinking) would be at least splash proof i tied it to a 20 m line and chucked it into a water, boy was i relived when it was still on the line when it was pulled up as we only had 15 m of water under us at the time, but there it was still ticking away as it always had! and 3 weeks on still no mist or problems. I will post a pic of it when i find it. The next one that has proved its self is my Aqua Terra from EL, 7 days of pool water, sea water very salty black sea and down about 4 meters, showering and covered in beer and what have you and it has not missed a beat. Here is a crap shot but it is under the water in the pool All i have done with this watch was make sure the crown was screwd down and the crown was tight. So El i would say that you description of water resistant for a 50m dash in the rain is a bit pesimistic. So check the back is on screw down the crown and get it wet!!!

I have not bought one yet! I do own a gen AT and a 69 Seamaster and have mailed before ref the 69 and repair. I will agree that the Railmaster looks a bit shifted to the right, just a touch but now you have pointed it out i agree, but i fail to see what is wrong with the case back, point to note my rep AT and the gen case back are interchangable! this looks the same as the case backs i have and therefore perfect for this watch, if it was the XXL then it would be wrong but in this instance not. What would make this one better would be 2892 works or the seagull copy of that. Andy

I am going to be away for a week and i hope it will be here when i get back, i will pm you when it does and let you know right away, click here for the one i am getting but have a look at it i dont think you would go far wrong with this and it has the perfect strap fitted, i am waiting to compare that strap with the gen i have because from looks alown it is perfect, josh wants $68, or 78, a gen in my local AD is 540 euros!!!!!!!!!!!! any way will let you know when it arrives. The seamaster bit is the least of the down fall as i had been looking at it for a while and did not notice that it did not say railmaster, but if you could get a proper set of hands would you change the ones you had, that to me is the bigest down fall, you have a dial with great lume and then the standard AT hands whitch are not the best to see at night even on the gen. You are right though who is going to notice and if it makes us feel good the wear them who cares, i just wish mine was here now. it will go nicely with the other 5 aqua terras i have but prpberbly get more wrist time, problem is since i got a 127 pam fever is biting and i cant get that off!!! need omega therapy

Waiting for Josuas Railmaster to arrive, on the new leather band with deployment, with ETA2824, will post some picks when it arrives. I was looking at this model but with the correct hands, someone else said that it had been produced with seamaster instead of railmaster so i thought i would find out. I mailed Omega direct and asked them, this was their reply:- Dear Mr. £$%^&*( We thank you very much for your message and your interest shown in our brand. No, this model was never produced with the word “Seamaster” on the dial. We hope the above is helpful to you and remain, with our kindest regards, Özlem Kuleli OMEGA Ltd. -----Original Message----- From: fxrandy@aol.com [mailto:fxrandy@aol.com] Posted At: vendredi, 23. juin 2006 00:58 Conversation: Omega - Contact Us Germany Subject: Omega - Contact Us Germany <Title>MR <FirstName> <LastName> <Country>Germany <Email>fxrandy@aol.com <Msg>Could you tell me if the following watch (railmaster aqua tera 38mm) http://www.omega.ch/index.php?id=291&no_cache=1# was ever produced with the wording seamaster instead of railmaster and if so in what years. Many thanks Sorry to say it but this is a bit of a fantasy with that wording but still a very nice watch, I hope that your movement turns out to be as good as mine, perfect time, as good as the gen. Enjoy the Peirs Brosnan look Andy

I have to say that it looks exactly the same as the 217 i got from PT and that had saphire without haveing to wait. It is a gorgous watch, i am just hoping for one to come out with the CDG finish and the new swans neck and adjuster arm. Andy

I agree this what every one above has said, every transaction has been perfect, he is a gentleman to deal with ans you will get exactly what is advertised. I have nothing but praise for him. Also good for you he is in the EU so no customs worries as he does not ship from china but from within the EU. Andy

Does any one have any experience with this model, Andrew lists it as a 7750b1 and josh as Asian7750, are they the same, and is the b1 the new reliable version. Any help would be good tohepl me make up my mind. Andy

Just a quick word of warning for all members who have watches powered by 2892 copys made by seagull, i thing they call it the ST18, it might be worth checking that the retaining ring that holds the rotor in place is still seated correctly. I woke this morning as was supprises when i took my most reliable watch off the winder and it had stopped. Sorry i forgot to photograph it before i fixed it so this pic will have to do. The ring is held in place by its self sittin in a grove in they outer bearing race, you will see that the race has 4 flats to it that corespond to 4 flats on the inside of the ring. Once these are lined up the ring can be pushed and rotated back into position to secure the rotor. I managed it witha hang ove before coffe so it is a simple fix. I might just be worth keeping and eye on these works and note if the ring is moving. I hope this is of some help. Andy

# Sam i Had a dispute witha dealer on another fourum and throught the posts i posted and the helpof anther dealer it was all eventualy sorted out. There are a lot of veterans here that have all had problems in the past but are still here because this is the way ahead. You will also note that most members and dealers are members of other like minded boards, if you are a keen collector then you may want to sort out your attitude a little other wise you my have trouble getting any new additions to your collection, youcould try Cannal street NYC though.
