  1. Whats the price on this one Neil?
  2. The mechanics of them amaze me, that small engine on your wrist, also it is a statement to the mood you are in and the way you want to be seen, somedays a 1950, others a gold marker Aqua Terra.
  3. So they do grow on trees!
  4. I second this comment, as good as she might be she is not listed here as a dealer, why not look at the dealers that help sponser this site!
  5. Since first reading this post and finding out i had one of these i had not wanted to wear my fiddy in case it broke but last night i thought " if it breaks it breaks, then i can send it to Ziggy and getthe cannon fixed relume all at the same time" not that i want it to break but if it did. It is a bit like a bike crash being natures way of telling you it is time to customise your bike! Got to admit rather than just glance at the time i have been watching the seconds hand just to check it is still going! Finger crossed eh
  6. I think also military training and background in this. And as i look out of my window i dont see many soldiers that would look good on a catwalk. I think he will do well.
  7. The one with the dodgy movement ( i have to check it is still running all the time now but so far no problems justmy paranoia) Now on a BOB carbon and platinum, tomorrow who knows.
  8. Where are you in germany remeber itis a big place, GTG is a good idea, PM or mail me if interested.
  9. Have you brought this up with your dealer, most are very good at after sales service. The only seller that has stated that every watch is hand picked is TTK, although i have never dealt with him many have had grerat service. All the dealers i have used here have given me only the best so bring your concern up with the seller you may be supprised.
  10. @mhinagoya That is a vety good way of putting it, we do try to compare a $200 watch with $4000 and expect them to mesure up a lot of the times, I think that a lot of the watches we get fully surpasses the price that we pay for them, case in point my railmaster, ETA works, water proof (at least for what i need ie shower swim) almost perfect looks and it makes me smile every time i wear/ look at it. my review of my railmaster Your post puts things in perspective.
  11. As far as i know the only one was a specialby watchmaker, i have never seen a mass producedone. look here
  12. Its the railmaster for me, sorry no photo as photobucket is down right now. Back on now
  13. Any thing as long as this new movement problem is not going to happen to it!
  14. I would recomend the railmaster from Josh but @pugwash yep that moonwatch is tempting still, maybe for me in a month or so when the novelty of the IWC has worn off.
  15. I have one of these movements in my fiddy i have just found, so far (2 months plus it has been fine) is it your oppinion ziggy that all of these movements a) will have a problem, it is highly likley c) possible d) only if i am unlucky? Like i say it has been fine but if they will all have a problem then i would feel a bit ripped off having paid ETA prices for what is esentialy a flored works.
  16. Wow they look good i would love the blue hands version, but i will be happy with the gold that i ordered already, but do the chrono pushers protrude a bit to much compared to the gen?
  17. It is a heilium relese valve to ensure that after a deep dive the helium that would have built up inside the watch can be relesed rather than popping the glass off the watch (He molecules are smaller than H2O or O2 and will seep past the gasket, then expand as the presure decreses on assent causing a build up of pressure inside the case, i doupt that the valve on the rep is functional)
  18. Sit back relax have a beer, take a short holiday, it can take a while some times but im sure you will be rewarded for the wait in the end.
  19. I have recieved confimation as shipping will be sorted ASP, all sounds good to me now the wait, Question is anticipation better than realisation?
  20. More of a sugestion in tune with the situation, and i am sure that a lot of the croc straps dont have that much croc in them, some mybey but not all. It is a shame that he has now gone, he was very interesting to watch but i have to add " if you play with fire" but RIP.
  21. Even with the blured photo you can see that right away, but from the front they are very good i just hope this does not go the way of some of the rolexes we see going for silly money for a £30 watch.
  22. Ifg you know what movement you need try these guys http://www.clockspares.net/dept.asp?id=1719 They carry just about every thing, i think you need to look at the 8215.
