it makes me thinkthat the factorys makin our reps must be also making cases for invita, and many others, but what comes first, does the factory make the rep case on the side and then offers it to the corperate customers, or did invicta ask for the case to be made and the rep side line fell out of that. It wiould be funny to think that the rep market is driving the gen heritage rip off side.

Looks real good till you see the back and then you know XXL rep on ebay I reported this one today as the price is 4 times what you could pay for the rep, thi is one good looking watch and oly one who knows whatthe right works look like would see the failing of this one. I would not like to see some one get ripped on this one.

Am i right in thinking that the sel on the LV are three piece on a gen and some of the newer reps, but the SEL on that look one piece

A futher update to the way this watch performs, i have just been away for a month on what we call "aggresive camping" were keeping good time is quite important, The watch keeps time to minus 2-3 seconds aday every day on the wrist, (checked via gps) The lume is still great the main thing is the watch is readable when you have been laying in a ditch all night. Not a trace of water has entered this watch nomatter what i do to it. The only thing i would like to do is getting it to run a sevond fast instead of a second slow, makes it easyer to set to a time signal. Not the slightest blemish to the crystal must prove it is saphire after a month in the field. I may have a good one, others may not be as well put together, but if i lost this watch tonight, i would order another two tommorow. Thanks Josh.

After having their 11th child, a Liverpool couple decided that was enough, as the social wouldn't buy them a bigger bed and they weren't strong enough to nick one, the husband went to his doctor and told him that he and his wife didn't want to have any more children. The doctor told him there was a procedure called a vasectomy that would fix the problem but it was expensive. A less costly alternative was to go home, get a firework, light it, put it in a beer can, then hold the can up to his ear and count to 10. The Scouser said to the doctor, "I may not be the smartest guy in the world, but I don't see how putting a firework in a beer can next to my ear is going to help me." Trust me, it will do the job", said the doctor. So the man went home, lit a banger and put it in a beer can. He held the can up to his ear and began to count: "1, 2, 3, 4, 5," at which point he paused, placed the beer can between his legs so he could continue counting on his other hand... This procedure also works in Bristol, Birmingham, Southampton, parts of Essex, Sunderland, Aberdeen and anywhere in Wales.

I Got These 2 Big Panerai, 1 Iwc Catalogs Today
FxrAndy replied to MJP's topic in General Discussion
I got the IWC one from my local AD for the cost of a question, it is an exelent book with some very good information on the way they test watches and a lot of history. I would not say they are rare but nice books for collectors and displays. -
It has landed, unwrapped it about and hour ago, very please with the whole look and feal of this one, thanks to Silix and to Richard Tracy for setting this up.

I was the same for a while could not realy decide if i liked pam or what,i got a 217 from PT and it is great, and the left handed crown on such a large watch makes a lot of sence to keep it out of the way. Beware you will be bitten by the bug!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sure that with a bit of leg work you could find some one here that would be able to repair them. Just have a look in the repair and mod section, that said have a look at the dealers and see what you can get now for your money!

I gave this one the ultimate test on sunday for waterproofness, well at least as ultimate as it would ever hold up for what i need. As we all know that the presure test is a static one and nothing like the forces exerted whist swimming, So i dived off a 3 meter board and down to 3.5 meter in my local pool a couple of times. I thought that would be enough and so far not even a trace of condensation. I did check the back was on tight before i left for the pool! Anthoer one passes the test!

Most wireless systems work in the 2.4ghz range and will give a range of 100m plus in line of sight of the transmitter and reciever. The only problem with wireless is that for a couple of hundred quid you can buy a scanner/reciever from any tandy /radio shack so that a possible agressor can see exactly what you can and find your blind spots, also any other 2.4ghz equipment such as TV/video senders could cause interfrerance. They can also be jammed quite easily so if you are having problems with any one who understands this tech they can remove your eyes with out problem. If you can recognize the jamming it is for you a good combat indicator and be used as a trigger for a reaction. need to know more PM me.

Sean Connery was interviewed by Michael Parkinson, and bragged that despite being 72 years of age, he could still have sex 3 times a night. Cilla Black, who was also a guest, looked intrigued. After the show, Cilla said, "Sean, if I'm not bein too forward, I'd luv to 'ave sex with yer. Lets go back to my ouse, we could 'ave a lorra fun." So they went back to her place. After a couple of drinks they went off to bed and had an hour of mad passionate sex together. Afterwards, Sean says, "If you think that wash good, let me shleep for half an hour, and we can have better shex. But while I'm shleeping, hold my bawls in your left hand and ma wullie in your right hand". Cilla looks a bit perplexed, but says "alright chuck". He sleeps for half an hour, awakens, and they have even better sex than before. Then Sean says, "Shilla, that was wonderful. But if you let me shleep for an hour, we can have the besht shex yet. You'll have to..." "I know Sean. Yer want me to 'old onto yer bat 'n balls again. No problem hun". Cilla complies with the routine. The results are absolutely mind blowing. Once it's all over, they have a drink, Sean lights a cigarette and Cilla asks "Sean, tell me, dis 'oldin yer balls in one hand and yer willie in de other - does it really stimulate yer dat much?" Sean replies, "No, not at all Shilla, but the lasht time I shlept with a scouser, the bitcsh shtole ma wallet!"

Most of the 21J Asian autos are a copy of the Myota 8215??? which only winds in one direction where as the ETA and the copys of those movements ie the seagull wind in both directions, there for the winding and the rotors will feel different, if you are sensitve enough (i dont mean you cry at a chick flick) you would feel the resistance as the rotor moves in the winding direction on the asian but not in the oporsite direction.

I found the best tool for this was the blue plastic one from PT, is has a better pin with less flex than other cheeper ones, works a treat for me as lond as you ensure that the pin is pushing in a straight line and not at an angle.
-
I would say it depends on the type of asian movement, if it was the seagull copy of the 2892, then go with it it has so far proved fantastic for me,if it was the myota copy then i would go for the ETA. I still find that a lot of omegas are adverised as having a 2892 ETA when in actual fact it is a seagull. No problem with the movement itsself just an advetising issue. and maybe pricing as well, a watch seagull should cost less than the same watch with a true 2892.
-
I would have hoped that the PO baqnds are the same type at the AT, which has a solid pin that is held by a crimped sleave inside the center link as opposed the old type folded pin (cheep and nasty and often ground through on the folded end during the finishing of the band) that breaks when you press them out. The AT system is the same as the gen and very robust.

Is it an electomagnet to ensure that the movement is stopped, to ensure it does not move for publicity shots???? Or a movement that they can control the hands to be in a perfect position for the shots !
