  1. Where are you in the world. I good watch smith could service it and fix what ever the problem may be.
  2. Well said OB Also to get in touch with people you can use the PM function, you will see under my avatar and member title there is a little envelope, you can use that to send personal messages (PM) Unfortunatly the portochrono, stunning watch as it is is a flawed design (the new ones are apparently better) due to the seconds at 6 modification to the movement, it takes about 8 gears to move the seconds from 9 to 6 and if there is any friction or dirt it wil stop the movement. But as i say the new ones are apparently better. Do some reaserch on portos and seconds at 6 movements there is a lot out there on them
  3. a 10atm machine is an expencive bit of kit, i can do to 6atm and for 30m i would want a watch tested AT LEAST to 10ATM
  4. A stunning watch, i had one for a while and it has great pressence
  5. same movement with out the modification to frease the subdial at 6, that should only move once the chrono is running
  6. Unfortunatly the terminology here is the issue, the seagull has been refered to a venus and lemania and a number of other names in the past due to it being based on those designs Look at the description fromtrusty here and you can see that is a seagull (with the hand at 6 frozen)so the dealers descriptions dont help with the correct naming of movements O.T. Ohhhh have we had that some time before a movement called on thing when it was actualy another???
  7. The picture you posted there on the right is the newer version with the seamaster in red this is the older version and the rep is prettttty good
  8. when you say both buttons do functions, the top one should start and stop the chronograph and the bottom one will reset it, that is all they should do, I notice that the 12 hour totaliser is following the hour hand and if that is the case you more than likly have a seagull in there which should not command the price a v23 would A photo of the movement will confirm what you have
  9. the 7753 would be an auto movement where this watch requires a manual one the seagull is a manual wind but does not have a correct funtioning 12hour counter dial and also the sub dials are a little too far out resulting in short 3 and 9 markers Omega 321 seagull
  10. if you went to a watch smith WHO WILL WORK ON REPS and he said he could not service it i would find another wathsmith, it is the easyest of movements to service
  11. Hmm that may be an issue, i wonder what is causing it, were yours correct to start with? can you post a pic showing yours?
  12. I like the way your dial looks, maybe a little new but nice I would say the first thing to do would be to remove the AR, but enjoy it now
  13. Jimmy it seams to me that you may have been unlucky with some of your purchases i would like to see a pic of one of these broken stems and then we may be able to tell you why and what is happening
  14. With out pics it never happened!!!!!!!!!! Playing the fool on my Harley, and a load of beer! Strip show was not bad either So what did you do!
  15. if you are fitting a new crown and tube it may be worth taking a little off the crown seat to make the crown guards look a little bigger
  16. file the CG feet down a little at a time, or put another oring in
  17. a 3717 today, but this is an old pic
  18. One dip can't damage the jewels it is designed to clean balances which have jewels on them so I can't see how it damaged your jewels here. I would be Interested to see a photo
