  1. Here is my 1 liner ____________________________________________________ want to see my 2 liner?
  2. why thank you for the dedication i'm honored to have such an amazing set of photos "for" me great photos - i think i understand what you were talking about when we discussed this piece this weekend again great job on those crazy macros - thats one thing i can't do with my new DSLR, i can get close, but, i don't have that macro capability i used to have on my simpler camera peace out
  3. i went to panatime and bought a deployant for 20 bucks they take up to 4mm straps works Fantastic i recomend that, then its comfortable and you don't put any wear on the strap its blurry, but you can see it
  4. i was about to show off your custom done khaki, but then i realized it was a different model i like Avitt's DLC better
  5. admitting what you don't know is the first step fact is everyone on this forum has alot to learn - its a constant process. you have the right attitude- a suggestion, if you think the english might be a problem now and then, you may put in your signature (which you can edit under "my controls" that your not a native english speaker - so please don't get mad if i ask stupid questions since most of the people here are pretty fluent, sometimes we forget that its a second language to many members welcome - beware of your wallet - its about to become toast (see did you get that? i bet it didn't translate well as a joke)
  6. Classy piece i was making some popcorn though, waiting for a longer history lesson i was like ohhh, grab the blanket and popcorn here we go but, classy piece Enjoy!
  7. I think the un is a more versital piece. the dewitt is not an everyday piece.
  8. I have handled the gen but only in store light. I will say this the color pop on this thing is hypnotic. maybe the blue Ar tint ads to the color variTion? but this is def on my fav piece list rightnow. there are not manypieces it's so tuff to do justice to in photos in fact I find it's usually the opposite. I can make a piece look more desirable in photos than life like magazine photos anyway this one is better in person!! sometimes you see the rep flavor of the month and next month you start to see alot or second hand offers this one is a keeper:)
  9. believe me the value in the relationship flowed to me. he is trying to put pressure on a firm to hire me now at twice the salary as when i left him. In my world its not a typical boss employee relationship, i'm more kind of part of the family. and no its not the mob
  10. also, super reps are custom made cases and bracelets, not out of a generic wholesale book, so there iss ome original machining - movement adaptation Stuff adds up quick- but, we all know our friendly dealers make $$, i mena they aren't here on a mission from g-d
  11. im not sure, about the crystal, as a gen owner, if its good, then maybe we could see the skeleton oooo
  12. Sorry for the threadcrapping:) i was trying to be inspiring
  13. again, i blame the drugs i'm on for my throwing out my back last week DOH - yeah its just the subdial i think for a moment i was thinking of a fossil watch i used to have that the whole dial did change color
  14. well, i got a present for my former boss who is trying to help me nail down a new gig of one of the 2 tone dewitt super reps. I got to try on the Gen when i was recently in St Marteen. First, i didn't realize it was a 30k watch. But, it looked cool. It was a little too much for my tastes in its combo of bling and flash especially with gold anyway - i wanted to get him something cool, and he has a few reps but really wasn't interested in getting more after he got a PAM that was DOA a few years back - anyway, i took it to him today and we went to lunch and he wore the watch. And for the first time i got to catch a glimps of it across a table on a wrist in the real world - anyway - its a really cool looking watch, Very impressive look also, if you have never seen it in action, they have this windmill thing going on seconds at 9. Every 15 seconds the dial is totally black, then its like pirate flag looking its a neat little twist. anyway for those that can carry that look with the rose gold ect ect and can pull off pricey watches - i would recommend this to a friend in a heartbeat = I know someone was selling one that kept going down in price on the used market - i think that has some to do with the economy and some to do with the unfamiliarity with the brand - but if your on the fence, or if you want something unique that someone is not likely to pick out on their own - it can be a real head turner
  15. ha, how funny we wrote the same thing i enjoy the photo stuff almost as much as the wearing the watch stuff
  16. With digital photography its not that hard, you just have to do some trial and error - I learned all the good stuff here from Pugwash and TTK - Lightboxs - which, i still use mine that i made from Wire hangers and a cut up tshirt and 2 8 dollar lights i got from home depot. then, you have to start to understand your camera and just play with the settings. plenty of great websites out there. up until 2 weeks ago i took all my photos with a canon pocket sized camera that fit in the shirt pocket. THe DSLR really opens up your world to allowing for more possibilities with focus, depth of field, and the 1 thing i couldn't get that TTK really made his living on with his photos was that polarizer filter- thats a game changer and what set TTK apart from all the other dealers. Pugs also taught me about reflecting Black back - and your like WHAT? well, i used it in my collection photo, one of my watches was reflecting the white tshirt in the crystal - so, i got a black tshirt and rolled it up in front of that part of the lightbox uh, i mean tshirt - Turns a crystal clear as day instead of reflecting light back. its all about light. then i have started experimenting with backgrounds and floors - i followed TTK's lead with the wood box. I'm actually using a watch box my parents bought for me, there is only an area of about 4/ 3 inches where i can use to get that glossy wood reflecting look. i'm actually going to head to the store and see if i can paint me something that works the same so i can do more. The collection shot that is reflecting granite? its a Cheese server that someone got me for my wedding, a black granite type material with silver pieces on the sides. its only 4 inches deep, you have go in later and erase out all the parts of the lightbox see here you can see the lightbox and the silver thing on the cheese display So, we can all learn i did, THANKS RWG
  17. i agree with all your comments - mis aligned mags happen to Rolex as well as Chinex the AR on teh watch is AWESOME the problem i have with it, is the tint they put on it. AR can be applied in various tints, most companies including UN use a clear tint which is what Chieftang is using. i think the tint they used was too strong - a totally Minute criticism, that should hold NO ONE back from getting this watch
  18. this watch had me Very interested - is the glare really bad in real life or just the photos. I have to imagine with CHieftang AR, this thing would be super rocking
  19. actually not so true - its very difficult to take an image and make it look like it does in real life. I spent like an hour tweaking my nardin photo - the last one i posted, adjusting color ect to get it closer to what it looked like in my hand. i think we both agree right off that we can't make that dial POP in a photo as it looks in life This watch Pops like no other rep i have ever gotten. I think its part of the AR and part of the high polish this is the one i'm talking about
  20. G - I wonder why V stays on my Recommended list we gotta get you to learn how to take a photo graph though seriously, get some tshirts, hangers, create a light box, put lights on the outside get a mini tripod - turn off your flash, learn the term White Balance - and this whole process would be MUCH easier for you.. I could really teach you in 5 minutes if we were in the same country
  21. there is a Swiss law that says like 80% of the movement has to be assembled in Switzerland. But Swiss law is only good in Switzerland, technically they could have an international copywrite lawsuit but, there is no international Swiss Labeling Police
  22. i just got a DLSR and i've been learning what the various settings can do - and there are SO many more photos i can get with the DLSR compared to even a top point and shoot. anyway for computer enhancement go get a for dummies book for photoshop - if you learn the blurring, blending, and cloneing technique your mostly there. cloneing is what you can do to copy a portion of the picture elsewhere, its how you get rid of dirt, hair fingerprints change backgrounds also HUGE is a polarizing filter. it changes what reflections can be seen - you can make crystals and glare disapear. or like i'm using it to make sure the reflection int he wood is very visable.
