i'm definatly buying the TD 12 brain unit. it is UNbelievable even compared to the old td10 the new sound modeling, - well lets just say, they finally got it right. With all due respect. THere is just more history here than your aware of. It goes back over the last few years and our relationships with these dealers. There was a much more calm civil thread a few weeks ago and yet the out and out fraud relating to movements still goes on. If we don't stand up - you, me, and the other newbs will be defrauded at some point. I am easily responsible for 20-30 watches being purchased from josh. thats around 6 grand. in fake watches. I expect that my dealer will not blatently lie about the product. - raise the prices, but don't lie about it

Under your logic replica house the people that 700 bucks for a cheap sub, is also "ok" Look, if he had advertised the watch with the crap movement in it thats there, it would have been 100 bucks less. The problem is not the price, the problem is the lie. The Zigmeister thinks the seagull movement is fine. The Zigmeister thinks some of the new asian copies of eta's are fine. The Zigmeister even likes an assortment of asian movements. But these are bottom of the barrel asians at least the ones we know about. look, the dealers have access to this forum. We are fish in a barrel, suckers, every last one of us. And we cut off other dealers so that these guys who we have worked with gets all the business funneled their way. As part of the unwritten deal, they are not supposed to screw us. Turns out, they have been scamming lately. - its not ok.

Crystal - they are Lieing to us. Look, when i go buy a rolex watch from a dealer, its price fixed. Rolex has a contract with its dealers saying you can't sell for less than X. Ok, Fine But - this is a backroom handshake and they refuse to admit it. To make it worse, assume that Rolex started putting asian movements in its watches. They would still command a high price guaranteed by the price fixing. this isn't just a group of people that want to make a few extra bucks, this is a sustained conspiracy to defraud.

the BR issue has clearly not been taken care of as they are still selling cheap movements and calling them asia eta. Do i want to confront the dealers that have treated me well and take time to build relationships with new ones? no but, these guys are walking all over us and must think were stupid that we would never realize what they are up to. The price fixing has been admitted by andrew in another thread The prices have been going up. What is this BS with the 400 Chronomat or even what is this BS with the 300 PO 007 edition. Same Freaking watch with a different seconds hand - costs 100 more? if your not insulted by all of this blatent lying, fraud price fixing ect, well i am. In response to this BS they put out more BS. They didn't take us seriously int he last thread. So we need to be more agressive. This is totally in opposition to my interests, i'm prepared to burn a valuable bridge here - because i just can't let it get worse. I hope the rest of you that believe that the BR/ White Lies thread realize that nothing has changed - i hope you all think through this as seriously as i have. I hope you come to the same conclusions. If we don't stand up, they will continue to do business as usual and you will continue to not know what movements come in your watches. the BR is the photographic evidence of the collusion + Fraud that were talking about. Crystal - Andrew said there was price fixing in one of the other threads today. I don't think the BR issue was "covered" in the other thread. Here is why - First off, the BR is still listed as Asia ETA when they are using 2$ movements. We, the community, said, Ok, we understand some of the BS is just sales - but movement fraud is fraud. And - they haven't changed a bit. Still same watch, just now put Asia ETA. I love andrew and josh, but, i can't stand for this. If we don't speak up now then it will only get worse. The time has come for a "come to jesus" moment. The dealers being spoken about can chose 2 paths 1. is straighten up - fly right - and stop BS'ing US, we wil figure it out eventually (that is the dumb part, how long did they think they could go on selling 2$ movements as ETA - and thats the part that really chaps my ass because they basically thinkn that i and All of us are stupid.) Then, they need to stop this bs about "its the factory" that is price fixing not us. Cmon if there are 1000 stock of these watches - and your not buing all of them up, then how are you the "only" dealer who can sell them. I mean the BS coming out of both sides of his mouth is unreal. I can't sit on the fence and watch anymore. Its gone to far.

Ryan here is the problem - go take a look at their sites. Notice that most watches have a movement photo. Notice that the one in question does not. - No question in my mind that they did this knowingly

I was also recently made aware of the BR/ Cheap Chinese Movement issue - as i Stated in the little white lies thread. "light ar" is totally different than ETA vs. 2$ Movement. If we don't stand up and say something - how are we any different than Replica House or those other Scam Sites Sure - They are selling a 150$ rep for 5 and 600 - But if were letting our dealers sell 90$ reps for 200 - Its a difference only in scale. This is completely innapropriate. I demand that those perpitrating this fraud stop Immediatly! I am also troubled that it appears in conjunction with this fraud there have been several dealers who have colluded to fix prices. The anti-competative nature of this is troubling, but coupled with the Movement fraud this becomes OUTRAGOUS. Again this is no different than Replica House or whatever they are called, where they post up several sites so it looks like their competing. I will not continue to tolerate on "my" board (yes i think we all should take ownership as a group) of knowing out right fraud. As anyone who reads my posts know i was Wholly against the RWI "5 star" system for exactly this reason - collusion ultimately leads to fraud and Greed. I understand that RWI has moved the thread about cheap movements in the B/R to the Loony Bin - Well - That shows you where their head is at. Members, its time to stand up. Either that or turn into the boards that we claim to save so many from. it pains me to make these statements, i have had great relationships with the dealers in question. I even likke them on a personal level, but what i have seen in recent weeks is causing me to rise above my personal needs and step up to what is better for us as a board. I hope that others do the same - so i'm not standing here by myself pissing in the wind.

If your not comfortable opening up the new tower/ case, just get the USB external Case. 1. its cheap 2. its easy 3. youl get your data 4. you will now have a portable hard drive you can use to back up data, move large amounts of data from computer to computer (like big recording audio files) I now have 3 of them they become VERY useful

1. you can get away without the tubes, but the strap will wear better around the tube area with tubes. 2. the only thing WRONG is not putting the strap on that makes you happy

i suggest - scratch up the rest of the case a little wear it proudly and call it vintage - you could seal the deal with a nice vintage relume !
