  1. Haven't seen it anywhere else. There is a section on Andrew's and Joshua's sight for the Da Vinci but nothing is listed.
  2. It's a rep that I bought from TTK, he has an outstanding IWC Portugese also.
  3. LOL, I usually don't use the 1Ds unless I have some serious shooting to do. This was taken with a Rebel XTi with 28-135 IS (non-L) lens. The 28-135 is at it's close focusing limits, if my right arm was 1" shorter, this pic would not be possible.
  4. A massive watch! (a.k.a. boat anchor)
  5. I never trust anything with the tag on it. I greased the caseback seal, crown tube seal, and the crown seal. Took all of 2 minutes and now the watch is totally waterproof. I bought 3 noobs (1 for me and 2 to give away) and all three had loose casebacks from the factory. I hear the SSD and SSD V2 are waterproof from the factory, might want to look into one of those if you don't want to grease the seals yourself. Better yet, you can get a BK mariner which is a noob with Swiss movement that is modded, greased and tested. Here is a shot of my noob next to my SSD version 2.
  6. Got another order in from Sead today, once again speedy delivery and a easy transaction. Presenting my new Super Sea Dweller version 2 with the thicker more accurate bezel! Here is side by side shot with my noob. It's a nice watch for sure but I not that much better than my $78 noob. My first impression is that the rehaut disappoints, it makes the dial look smaller than the noob. On the plus side, it has a nicer bezel, you can see that it is inset vs the noob. Sorry about the poor quality pics, I'm out of town and only have my Canon P&S camera. Oh yeah, I almost forgot! I also got a package in from Andrew today! I have to say that I am very happy with the service I have received from Andrew. I had a couple of small issues and he sent replacement parts without blinking an eye. Awesome awesome customer service! He also ships incredibly fast! Ordered Thurs and had the package in hand Tues! Anyways... on to the watch! 2006 Daytona with black face and arabic numbers. A perfect compliment to my 2006 Daytona with silver face and black arabic numbers. Love this watch! The pic is misleading because it makes the face look flat gray but it is actually a deep black, I don't have a diffuser for my P&S. Hmm.... what's this? Another watch? Ultimate 45.5mm Planet Ocean! What?!?! Another watch? PAM186! WTF?!?! Another watch? How many damn watches did I order?!?! PAM187! Look at how much bigger the UPO is! Look at how big the 187 is! Beefy! Group shot with the 028 I was wearing today. Hope you guys enjoyed the pics. Thought I would share my excitement and some size comparisons between the dive watches. *** Only the SSD V2 came in from Sead, all of the others are from Andrew.
  7. Here's my contribution, a Noob underwater shot.
  8. I paid within 2 days of logging in for the first time, it was a no brainer for me. Wish the ads would disappear though, I have that stupid google ad for Bernard Watch Co. engraved in my brain now.
  9. Good catch on the date, didn't even notice that. Glad to hear you guys enjoyed the pics!
  10. Just another day in paradise noob. Oh nooooooooooooooo noob! Hey I'm still ticking noob! Kid's everywhere noob! Deep sea diving noob. Climbing watermelon falls noob. Almost there noob! Daddy I'll keep the water from going on your watch! Oh no, that won't be necessary son. Search and rescue noob. Football jock noob. Bubble noob. Pretending you're dead at the bottom of the pool noob. Hazardous objects falling from the sky noob. Above water shot noob. Underwater I'm too sexy shot noob. Last but not least.... icy cold watermelon eating noob. Hope you enjoyed all of the noobage... as you can see, I have way too much time on my hands.
  11. Let me put on my flame suit before I post this..... Why would anyone buy a rep of that watch? The ultimate SMP rep will set you back close to $300 shipped and the cheesier versions are less but you will probably go through 2-3 of them in a lifetime. You can pick up a nice gen on the bay for $700-1000 if you go for the quartz version. What's the difference between a quartz gen movement and an asian automatic movement? Why not get the gen and call it a day?
  12. I custom configured this from Andrew and have to say it definitely exceeds my expectations. It appears to be gen accurate in all respects and in person it has the same buttery feel, smooth edges, weight etc as the gen.
  13. Slight change of plans... had planned on wearing the EOD but went with the 111 instead. Looked like it was a good move, what's better than a marina shot with a Marina in it?
  14. Wow prices must have gone up! The last time I had a gen Rolex serviced at the Rolex NY service center it was $550 US.
  15. Awesome story, thanks for sharing it. The watch will be a stunner when finished, please post a before and after with the gen CG..
  16. Make sure you are careful with the front screws, get a large enough screwdriver bit that it doesn't have any play. If it does, you will end up torquing the bit within the slot and gouge the screw head, nothing looks worse than a B&R with gouged front screws!
  17. Friday drive home: Wife and I picked up the kids from school and went to see Speed Racer with the 253 - fell asleep but great for 5-10 year olds: Went to Home Depot with the noob: (Phew, long day!) Going to Redondo Beach tomorrow with the EOD Nice leisurely Sunday washing cars with the noob.
  18. Thanks, I guess there are 2 sites. The link from this forum's dealer's section goes to a different site.
  19. Yeah, I've been all over the place lately but my heart belongs to only one watch. Always has and always will. Lately this $78 noob has gotten the most wrist time of all my rep and gen watches. I have a BK mariner on order and might pickup a MBW sub as well.
