Did anyone notice that all the new offerings of Arktos have chrome hands while the EL version has black hands..?
I believe the genuine has black hands.
Or you can email Dirk himself and order them direct. He charges 100 euro for that strap plus shipping, the last time I asked. It takes about 6 to 8 weeks to get the strap made and ship to you.
These are guide lines only. For thicker straps (3.5mm & above), you may have to go up one size. A lot also depends on your personal preference on how long the tail end should be and where the buckle sits on the bottom of your wrist.
This is what you need...

Or you can find it here...

Hope it helps.
You can check out the two calf and buffalo straps in the strap section on this board if you like thick and sporty straps. For the Arktos, I am thinking a carbon strap like exper's would look good.
Got this one along with the Aged Buffalo from Molina. Nice thick strap with polished sewn-in buckle. Not as soft as the buffalo but still a very comfortable strap to wear after breaking in. A very nice summer strap IMO.
I am not sure about the date font because I never have been able to find a good pic of the real deal to compare with. But the date mag seems to be a little better than the 063 I used to own. the bezel letter/marker appears to be quite well glued and secure, for now anyway.
We almost have the same taste in Rolex. Especially now that you are getting rid of the Exp-II. It is a beautiful watch though.
I have the same 1665 & 16610 and couldn't be happier. (except the 1665 is with white letters).
Here is my 1665 from my friend in Sweden. I apologize for the picture quality. They are not the greatest. The watch is beautiful though. Hope you like it.
I think the difference is not that great. The other question would be is there AR coating on the crystal..? The genuie I think has AR coating. Anybody knows..? Or can EL clarify this..?
Thanks, Thor,
I am not sure this is what I am looking for. The punch is oval instead of the more rectangular shape of the holes on BOB's. They are out of stock at Taikonaut anyway.
I like those BOB straps that you have. The problem for me is with the standard 120/75 length and the way the holes are punched, it is a little too long for me. And Christen cannot do shorter strap nor can he even punch an extra hole for me. So until I find the perfect hole punch, I cannot buy any BOB's.
