  1. Good choices... A bargain indeed. Wear it well.
  2. Sweet... Wear it well. Nice combination. I am tempted to get one myself but I already have a 192. Not sure about the mineral glass as well.
  3. I would think so too. The movement doesn't remotely resemble 7750 at all.
  4. Simply gorgeous. Excellent result from a master craftsman.
  5. There is nothing wrong with this combo IMO. But I think this Greg strap will actually work better with the pvd PAM's (with a pvd buckle of course).
  6. You got a point there, David. I still can remember the nice smell of the Dirk strap that I had. This strap does not have too much of a leather smell compare to the other Molina vintage buffalo I have.
  7. The strap has only been on my wrist for half a day. It still looks and feels a little stiff now. I'm sure it will soften up in a couple of days time.
  8. Some new pics of my EL Arktos with the Molina vintage brown strap I picked up yesterday.
  9. I have both of those straps for a while now. They are so far my favorite straps. Very soft and comfortable to wear. Excellent value for the money. I am about to pick up the vintage tan hopefully this weekend. Will post a review after I got it in hand.
  10. XWM just listed two watches at TRC. Take a look even if you don't have big bucks. http://www.replicacollector.com/members/in...p?showforum=140
  11. Do you have a plastic watch to test..?? I am sure that will be water proof.
  12. Dirk is indeed a gentleman. I have exchanged email with him a few time. Ended up not ordering anything from him. But he is always courteous and answering my emails promptly. The point I am making is that IP infringement is a delicate thing. I just don't think our members should get too hung up on this issue. I cannot tell myself to stay on moral high ground one day and buying replica watches the next day. I am not defending Elliot for whatever reason. I may even partially agree with some of what you guys said. Veni, I respect you for sticking to your principle when Elliot was signed onto this forum. I also respect the admin for delisting him for the betterment of the forum when the overall sentiment is obvious that he was not welcome. But I would expect in return respect for someone who choose to deal with him amd buying his products. Afterall, everybody has to take responsibility and accept consequence for one's action and decision. I would hope these pointless bashing will stop and we all return to discussion on our favourite subjects like who has the best Sub and whether MF straps is better than BOB straps. Enough ranting here. Have a good day.
  13. Check the first generation Dirk straps that has the OP logo on them. I wonder why no one ever said anything about them. He made his straps famuous by copying the original Panerai straps down to the logo buckle.
  14. Sounds like you know the man in person. How many sugar does he take with his coffee..? Or does he drink coffee at all..? How did he start his strap business..? Who makes his straps..? And I don't think he would like to have his name in anyway or form in assciated with our rep community here. Jumping on bandwagon is easy.
  15. Join in at RWI. It's fun. I have been a member at TRC and RWG-1 since 03 and have joined RWG-2 and RWI since inception earlier this year. I don't see there should be any negative aspect by allowiing Elliot on TRC and RWI forums. Do I know Elliot as a person..? Do I know Drew is alcoholic..? Do I know Don is a gambler..? Do I know Greg is gay..? No. No. No. No. I don't know and I don't care. I do not see pass the product, price and service when buying a strap for my beloved watches. Be it a Dirk, TC Dirk or anything else. And talking intellectual property infringement in a rep forum is laughable to me. Also, what about the guy at the 'P' site always selling so call NOS straps known as Dirk. Are those real Dirk's..? Elliot is not the only guy doing it. Some of you guys have history with Elliot and I respect that. But please do not insult people over at RWI. Afterall, we all share the same hobby and a lot of us frequent the same forums.
  16. That will not be the right thing to do to resell rep watches. They should all be distroyed and dumped in the garbage can.
  17. You guys are nuts. Dirk is the first guy who was benefiting from repping the original OP straps. He copied the design of the PAV straps and put the OP logo on the sewn-in buckle on his first batch of Dirk straps. I guess way back when Panerai was so down they didn't bother sueing him. Eventually, he changed the design of the buckle with the 5218 stamping. Those are the second batch. The latest design has changed again to have the CF buckle on it. There is no question that Dirk strap is lengendary. I will continue to buy Dirk strap if I see what I like same as I will continue to buy rep watches from China, Taiwan, Thailand, Germany, etc...... I see some of you guys will be getting out of rep watch collection hobby soon. If quality and pricing is good on the TC Dirk strap, I am not excluding myself from buying them either. I have no history with Elliot. To me, he sells straps.
  18. Hope this is not another one of those hijack user name case.
  19. There is one 187 26/22 rubber strap for sale on the P site right now. But the price....... I think that is the biggest rip off of the century.
  20. You can only be sure (maybe 90%) by buying from the reputable dealers and enquire before sending money. Different dealers selling different watches from different factorys with different stock of 7750 movements and there is no QC to speak of. That is my $0.02.
  21. I don't understand why this rule is unenforceble..?? The admin have set the rules for the forum and maintained that they will enforce them. Dealers not posting prices are not doing that because they don't want to. They are just forgot about the rules on this particaular forum. I don't think they will risk losing our business by not posting here because of the rules.
