  1. I so hope that Liverpool FC will win the FA CUP this year. They play the final against WH on the 10th. Chelsea has a fantastic team but Liverpool FC did well against them.... Regards Gunnar
  2. Crasy posts...... you mean 50.000 bucks? Look at the picture its from ThePuristS g.
  3. Now that sure is ugly....
  4. Wow! 3mm into the clock category I bet the asian movement that runs this baby has an 18.000 beat so the seconds hand movement probably looks a little bit jerky (due to the extreme length of the seconds hand)
  5. I agree You're not doing favours to your fellow RWG members when you post your fake pictures "there" g.
  6. That Santos Dumont is a great looking watch Regards Gunnar
  7. I had no idea pp could be so unfair. If it makes you feel better Scott I will hate pp for doing this to you There must be some solution to this problem...would it help if you got an new account and VISA in a different bank than you are currently using and used that instead? Regards Gunnar
  8. Never had any problems using pp and I consider pp the best and most convenient system for making and receiveing payments. But no system is perfect. Regards Gran
  9. It is indeed impressive that of large scale dealer is having true quality control (QC) performed on the items before they are being sent out. Notwithstanding are the dealers "fight" for having the best PO to offer just hype or are we witnessing a true battle for providing the best quality PO etc out there....?) G.
  10. What exactly did you mean....kruzer00? Back to the language part..even the French speaking put "SWISS MADE" , "AUTOMATIC" etc on their watches dosent sound very French to me Watches - Switzerland is the watch-making capital of the world, and "Swiss Made" on a watch face has long been a mark of quality. While the French-speaking regions of Switzerland are usually associated with Swiss watchmakers (like Rolex, Omega, and Patek Philippe), some fine watches are made in the Swiss-German-speaking region, such as IWC in Schaffhausen. (Fine watches are also made in the nearby German Glashütte region.)
  11. You know as well as me that a crazy watch nut like me is not able to resist taking it of my wrist. I would be happier if the movement had at least the "cotes de geneve" ..but then tourbillon1801 has given us a very good solution to what can be done. Maybe the best is to change the movement with a nicer looking one. Regards Gunnar
  12. Now you have made me like this watch cornerstone...wearing this piece everyone knows that you are a true watch geek Gran
  13. Good answer speedy1 much better than mine....
  14. pending = Be patient and wait a littel longer.... You better ask the questions there than here. Regards Gran
  15. Glad to see that "Citizen quartz movement" bringing a smile to peoples faces much better with a quartz movement that has a working stop watch function than a faux but mechanical one. Looks like a sensible move to me. g.
  16. I was mildly praising you tourbillon1801 I think your setup is very interesting g.
  17. Dawn ...is that why he has not sendt the tracking number yet.....Andrew?
  18. Now that is crasy.....thanks for the input archibald
  19. Thanks for the input tourbillon1801 you have brought this thread to another level.....and I can appreciate the arguments that your movements are beautiful in their own right. good point. In a historical/horological perspective the Jones calibre (movement) is special indeed. See this link: http://www.awco.org/European/IWC/IWC.htm
  20. Japanese quartz movements from Miyota/SEIKO/Citizen should be as reliabel or even more reliable than Swiss made quartz movements But be careful as the cheap asian quartz movements on the other hand can be very poor quality indeed g.
  21. Correct name for the IWC Jones in French is PORTUGIESER F.A. JONES I am seriously considering buying the IWC Jones replica The front of the IWC Jones replica is as stunningly beautiful as it is accurate but the movement displayed on the back of the replica is very plain indeed. The Replica movement has no decorations what so ever. This is a picture of the genuine movement Has anyone heard that an improved version of this IWC will ever be made or is the one offered the ultimate version? And would there even be a point in getting decorations on the movement used in the replica since ther is no way it can resemple the hand-made Jones 98290 calibre used in the genuine? Input please G. Picture of the replica movement on trustys site:
