The gen T39 superdome don't fit the WM watch as easy is ebay t39 (no superdome) After worrking the crystal, it fitted perfect profile details with bezel from a different angle front new insert All done Thanks for looking

  11. VEry nice
  12. Got it two months ago (60us). Added new crystal, new seconds hand, superluminova markers, and the best 15um 24k gold plated. (Also new band ) I learned how to gold plated by electro deposition because of my work, never did a large piece before, only micro-electrodes, but now I have my own home made gold plating system. :bash: Thanks for any comments, P
  13. This material (PICS) is an outstanding reference. I had saved all the pics. Could you use a finer grid for the pics? (to quantify distortion by the crystal) Outstanding !!
  14. Where did you get it ? I saw a similar package on ebay two weeks ago.
  15. @ jsph Yes I drilled out lug holes, also the edge was to sharp, i moded to be smooth. “bezel came from a 5517" from abay, the metal bezel has the right shape an side profile. relume hands is way too difficult for me, I may try as I practice more. Dials are much easier. BTW: originally in andrew's 5512 no original parts fit. it needed hard work to get the right base for the crystal. @Nanuq "how much to build another??", this is only a project, if I decide to let watch go i will let you know first. I like your stile and your appreciation for vintages. Thanks again
  16. Wow, love the looks of those. Do you thing this 39 crystal is very off from the superdome, I got it from ebay, It was german made no genuine.
  17. Thanks, A better pic  Case asian 5512 from andrew, crystal tropic 39 from ebay, mods done by me following pic from the book. Relume was only a little C1, original vintage dial was very yellow and lume make it less. the bezel was from a 5517, and the insert from ebay. the genuine springbars came from my genuine dealer, a gift. they were from a watch yhe store worked on last week. oH, forgot, mov eta slow non quick set date or something from a titoni old watch, hour and min hands strait from original watch, seconds moded to fit. Thanks again for the comments P
  18. thanks for looking Tropic 39 springbars, pearl, insert Relume  I need to work on my pictures they are ugly , watch is nice

  20. open the watch a press the hands. be careful and take your time. It is not that hard. Or, find a nice local watchmaker to do it for you (15 Us, at the max, and you will have in one hour)
