Folded link bracelet has gone!

I'm not picking on prismo's watch, I think it looks great especially for the price. It also shows how far these reps have come over the years, as I guess you could say we are picking on small details. However I still don't understand why they did'nt look at a few gen pics and work out how the dial should look. would a Yuki dial fit in it then? If all else is good seems like a cheap mod to me. Marc.

Been following this thread from the start now. some people are saying the dial is wrong i.e. the lume squares don't touch the rehaut, is this a problem with the dial, or the rehaut being too wide and not touching the lume? Also couldn't this be offered with the ETA low beat that Josh puts in the new vintage subs? Great looking watch for the money Prismo! Thanks for the pics. Marc.

What's landed? How is this different from the first version?
-
Looking good so far. So long its not an April fools! Haha.

Bloody awful! Font looks crooked against the 3,6,9 and 12 markers. Also even though I think the size is good, not sure all Breitling fans will like it. Just looks a bit cheap to me, nowhere as classy as the heritage. Marc.

I don't mind the extra $50, But what I don't want is to open it up and find a clone or an ETA that is new or what it should be. However I wont be a snob about it, if the Asian movement is almost as good then so be it, I'll have one of those. I guess I'm asking all these question so I don't have any regrets in the future when I have the watch. kind regards. Marc

Thanks Metal, I think you've hit the nail on the head, the UK is always more money for less product. That's just my experience here in Britain. As for the movements I guess it takes a while to do a proper service, so, why would they do it? Just think, in that case they should not claim to do so. Whats your opinion on the Asian 2824? should I go for the ETA for $50, or is that another fib? Kind regards. Marc.

Thanks Deniz. That may help me a lot in the future, appreciate it. Kind regards, Marc.

Oh yeah as soon as it arrives, there will be pics, lots and lots! And your opinion is fine with me. By the way who is domi? Thanks, Marc.

Yeah I think you're right. It's not fair them saying they do though, and charging for it. A lot of people say good things about Josh @ Perfectclones but I've only ever had experience with Eurotimez I'm not sure customs are a problem over here neither so I guess it doesn't matter who I use. I just thought I'd find out who people use and what they think. I have emailed PT and he's seems on the ball so might give him a go. Thanks deniz. Marc.

Well, without mentioning the dealer, he is supposed to QC the watches and service them. I know that because it say's so on his page in the dealer section, and because I have bought from him in the past. However when I asked 'Will the watch be serviced'? His reply was: 'We do still do a QC on our watches and check if it still all runs good before sending.' Not what I asked. So I tried again and the reply was: 'Yes we service most of the Swiss ETA watches and 7750s. However we don't service to much anymore as all watches have just been serviced and we get them new from the factories. We do the QC after to see if it all still runs correct. WTF? we service most of them, but not much anymore So it says they QC And service the watches on his welcome page, but from the statement above I'm not sure they service any of them. The problem is they are charging a premium for this service, so I was expecting the answer to be 'yes it will be serviced' otherwise what is the point of buying from them? Kind regards. Marc.

Well I really need some help here. I've been researching this watch for ages and read some great stuff and comparisons between V1 and V2 (thanks krpster). The problem is, where should I get it from? I know everyone has it so the question is, who would you buy from? The dealer I normally get watches from answers my questions but, a bit like a politician would, so I'm not really getting the answers I want, like he's avoiding the questions a bit. (I'm not sure if Its right to name him so I didn't). So who would you buy it from and be sure of a great watch? I'm in the UK if that helps. One last question if I may. The watch now has an optional ETA for about $50 extra. Is it worth it? Or would you stick with the Asian ETA? Thanks in advance, Marc.

Looks pretty good to me.

Madred7, As far as I am aware it will be on mesh and rubber. It needs the mesh I think, just would be quite the same without it. Marc.

Yes I know about the upcoming proplof rep, but have you seen the one in the pic? Only one being made, going through auction. Looks damn cool if you ask me. I really do hope they make a good job of the rep. No arsin around, just a good rep 1st time would be lovely and good mesh. Marc.

The Speedmaster Retro is my next watch, that a SOH and a white dial Speedmaster date for the wife. So when it comes I will do as good a review as possible on It, maybe all three actually. As I have a good camera now and more importantly a Gen Moonwatch and SMP 300. So should be good to compare. However By-Tor, not sure it will be on a par with your reviews, so don't get excited! But I will promise take lots and lots of pics. The only other problem is the dealer I will probably get them form can take a while, so, well not much I can do about that, other say when they arrive I will do the review straight away. Kind regards. Marc.

Lani has them all. If you do a search he has some great photo's. I really want Lani to post his views, but I didn't just want to PM him as it's good to get all views, so I thank you for your replies. Kind regards. Marc.

Thanks Nikki6. What about build quality and movement reliability since you have had it? The panda dial is loveley, I think all the 'dates' are and now my wife wants the white dial version. She wants to put it on white or brown leather. She may have a point, white dial on white leather pretty cool (for a girl of course).
-
Does anyone have one and if so what do you think? I have heard that they are a 1:1 but doesn't seem to be many around. I am hoping Lani will give me his opinion here as I know he has one, in fact if I am not mistaken he has all of the 'dates'. So Lani what do you think? And is it big enough ay 40mm? Thanks in advance all. Marc. P.S. I would add a picture but I ddon't know how I did try. Ah ha think I have just found out how to add pics!

Seems to be 2 versions of this watch (black date). The retro version has the logo in the correct place, centralised between the (cannon pin?) and the date. The black doesn't, it is too close to the date. However yours is positioned correctly so i am presuming there must be two versions. Or someone working in the factory needs glasses. Very nice watch by the way! Kind regards. Marc.

Never mind Lani. Things may change with the dollar, now you have a real president! Marc.

Hey Lani, Jeff G. Just wanted to say, I didn't call the clasp crap, I was just reading some comments from the 'Search' facility and someone said it was pure trash, which was contary to what I had heard. The truth is I really want a SOH, but since the pound is now on parity with chocolate money, it makes all reps a lot more expensive. But I think I am going to pull the trigger. Which then brings me to the second problem (Lani's fault) I normally buy from Eurotimez, but they have had some pretty bad reviews and well i'm just a bit jitery. Reason I blame Lani, unfairly, is because of the little problem, I read he had getting some parts from them, and being a pensioner before he got them, if he even did in the end, not sure. Marc.
