I have the idea of trying to improve the rep tube on 380. But before , I would like to know something about the construction of this tube. Does anyone know if is screwed to the case or simply pressed into the hole? Thanks in advance for suggestions and advice .

@MJC where did you hear that the crown falls? The problem of the length of the tube appears to be inconsistent, on RG is a debate around a gen with long tube (see the discussion here: http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=174956 ) For the screw/lug this is the solution: 1) anaerobic threadlocker from Bostik (which I prefer) or from Loctite 2) set from http://www.panatime....tforrawaba.html or http://www.watchobse...-Screw-Tube-Set -

When you told me of this project without other details you have injected in my mind so much curiosity and now finally the secret has been revealed. Great, there are no other words, is a true art. I sincerely hope that is in production soon and on the wrist of many members!

Mini update, with great effort I've build a true titanium caseback with an ingot of 10 ounces bought from eBay. Here are some pics (sorry for the bad quality, but my n95 is falling apart): Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us I'm not sure at the end if the result is like gen, but I'm sure that now on touch does not seem fake titanium.
