The 8 series is SWEET (one of the few cars of its time that still looks better then most cars on the road today)....my SL lease is up in 7 months I may look into BMW but most likely will go S/CL/CLS or another SL which will be facelifted again for 2009 (bastards).

I think the black looks better...but the white hides the wide rehaut flaw better but also makes the dial look huge...still would go black. Ive seen both gens in the flesh and the darker dial is more imperial....the white is also nice in its own way though

Nice Pic. The center "rings" engraved on the dial look weak at this angle. Do they show up better in real life like the gen?

need to see a good wrist shot of the gen or rep...everything looks good eexcept the double AR....seems like it will be comfortable for a huge watch too.

Thanks for the infor Rolexman...now the only thing bothering me is the "ring" patter on the dial not showing enogh...anyone with a black dial...can you post a pic of the pattern?

Im with Jfreeman on this one....Vegas needs BLING. A Diamond bezel BCE would be best....I guess the SFSO is the next alternative.

Guys WTF...is this version not from the "Ultimate" version maker??? No AR but good tabs, pushers and a different bracelet link system.....on the genuine how are the link produced: 5 piece segments connected together or the complicated version like on the Bentley reps which are hard to size???

Looks good...but I like the regular version a bit more...too bad so many people have hurt wrists from the clasp.

I wore pams a lot maybe 2 years or so ago and then started wearing Breitlings more and more...pams have that unique crown guard and simple yet almost exotic shape...Breitling are just plain badass. Anyway its funny that a rep can steal the show from a $7000 or whatever watch...LOL

The 196 is really a beautiful piece....these girls were in their early 20's too.....strange since the Bentley to me is quite breathtaking.

Anyway a girl looks at my watch sand says "what kind of watch is that" ? (Im wearing my old case 196 Pam on Rubber w/deploy) I say " A Panerai". She says she loves it...and has never seen it or heard of it before. My buddy cant understand and then asks a few random women which watch they like the look of best...every one of them picks the 196 over his incredible gen Bentley with its incredible Double AR and gleaming dial....I couldnt freaking beleive it...the guys an idiot for asking random people but it does seem Pams have something about them that attract people...LOL

Doc: you and I both wanted an old case Chrono Avenger....but if this baby comes out with "super rep" standards....Double AR correct size case....I will stop my search and be content! (as long as this rep is accurate) Keep up the fine work and keep on pushing quality over quickness...I woulld rather wait a bit longer and have them get it right. I have to say, the odds of them getting the black metal version perfect are pretty low...the SS version could really be 1:1...while the black version may look off compared to the gen. Does the maker have a genuine to rep from???

Well from what I hear the PVD coating on the Blsck Magic isnt PVD at all....anyway please keep on pushing DOUBLE AR and as I said before, a SS model would be nice as well. Any idea when this will surface?
