where to get a lug bracelet pin for my IWC Slevin?
SBrat replied to hackR's topic in General Discussion
The mall watch kiosk is a very useful place for all bracelet related issues. I had a similar problem with my rep Breitling, and took it to the mall watch kiosk. The guy put in a spare pin, which fitted, and did not even charge me anything! I was in and out in 5 minutes. -
Wonderful pictures, Gioarmani. Thanks for sharing.

There are some very nice ladies watches by Cartier, Gucci, LV, Burberry and Chanel. You could go to Josh's website and lookup these brand sections. I am sure she will love some of these watches. All the best.

I have bought 4-5 watches with A 7750 movement. Plan to get couple more. I am planning to get the movements serviced within the first 3-6 months, as recommended by The Zigmeister. I feel scared and uneasy when I set the day/date/time, since I can literally feel some resistance and wobbliness when doing this. Hence, I am am keen to pick up a watch winder which would give me option of 650-1200 TBDs with a switch to control the direction of each winder head. Having said that, I would imagine that if the watches are on the winder, there would be more wear and tear on the movement, since it is now running all the time, though it would help reduce the risk of possible damage through setting time/day/date again and again. Will appreciate your advice on what is the better option-putting the wtaches on winder or risking damage through time/date setting. My preference is to put them on a winder, if wear and tear is not too much of an issue. Will appreciate advice from movement experts. Thanks in advance.

Between DSN and Vacuum's 111H, which is the better one. I assume lume on Vacuum's watch would be better, but what about case, dial, CG, CG pin fix etc.

What is the most and least comfortable watch you own?
SBrat replied to RobbieG's topic in General Discussion
Most comfortable: Rolex sub/YM Least comfortable: Chopard MM chrono & HBB, due to their size/deployment buckles -
I am new to the forum and have picked up 4 watches over the last 3 months-mostly Asian 7753/7750 based and 1 Swiss ETA powered Sub. 3 of my watches are running +15 to + 30 seconds per day and one is running -45 to -50 seconds per day. None of them have been serviced or regulated. Would love to hear as to how the watches of other members have been behaving in terms of time accuracy. If I was to have these regulated, how accurate could these get. Thanks for your feedback.

BK modded my PT's Supreme sub (WM9 Version 1.5). He trimmed CGs, installed Clark's crystal, installed WM pearl, re-aligned DW and shortened the crown stem (it was too long originally & protruded out a little). The watch looks gorgeous, and is definitely a keeper. It was a pleasure to deal with BK. All my PMs were answered within max couple of hours, most within minutes actually. He looed at the watch and made suggestions on what should be done to make it look closer to gen. I will not go to anybody else for buying any watch model that he carries. I am now in a dilemma to whether have the sub serviced & superlumed or not. What do you guys say.

My package arrived yesterday evening. It took 8 days from China to USA, which seems pretty ok. The scary part was that there was no update on tracking information on EMS or USPS site, after it left Shanghai on 12/9. I was getting apprehensive since I thought it could ot be in air for 7 days! I guess, it missed being scanned at multiple points in USA.

Lanikai, Thanks for sharing your experience. May package may have reached USA, and may have missed being scanned at inbound point. Can't be in air for a week! Hopefully, I will see a scan somewhere in tracking system soon and receive it later this week. It has been 8 days already.

Hi My package left Shanghai sorting center on 9th December and has still not reached JFK. EMS tracking shows this information: Timing Site Status 2008-12-08 08:36:00 JIADING Posting 2008-12-08 16:58:00 1844 Despatch from Sorting Center 2008-12-08 23:53:21 SHANGHAI Arrival at Sorting Center 2008-12-09 00:49:30 SHANGHAI Despatch from Sorting Center Normally,it gets to USA within 2-3 days from China. This is like over 1 week today. Has anybody else had a similiar experience recently I would imagine mailing must be backed up a bit, because of holiday mailing traffic, but this sees too long:( Do I need to do anything. Will appreciate your feedback.

Hi I bought this watch couple of months back. It is gorgeous. It is available in 2 version: with and without diamonds. You can buy it from any of the forum dealers, depending on your preferences. I bought it from Ruby. The pictures on Josh's site are very accurate. Let me know if you need anything else.

Hi I want to buy a Corum Admiral Cup watch. Trying to finalize between these 2 models. Both are listed as made 1:1 from gen on Josh's website. I would prefer the SS version, to avoid any issues with gold plating, but the flag colors seem very off compared to gen on SS version (gen picture below). Also, the date on RG watch is at 6 position. Does that create a problem on A7753. Guys - Will appreciate your feedback as to whether the RG version or SS version is closer to gen and should be preferred. Thanks for your help.

Hi Love this watch and am considering buying this. Is Eurotimez a good option. I liked delaing with Chris on my first purchase, though everybody here seems to mention Angus as preferred choice for Hublots. I read that there are issues on dw on some Big Bang models. Are there issues on this model. Also, there is feedback that the rotor is not engraved on BBs, whereas dealer websites mention it as decorated engraved rotors. If somebody has bought this model recently, can they please confirm as to what is happening on this. As always, appreciate your help.

She shipped me couple of watches on 16th. You have to be patient with her. Once you place your order, she takes 7-10 days to get the watches ad then emails you pictures for your approval before shipping. The total turn around from order to delivery is app. 3 weeks.

Hi Received my Submariner from PT. Communication was great. PT was a pleasure to work with and answered all my questions. He mentioned a delivery period of 14-16 days when I placed my order, but the watch was actually delievred to USA within 10 days of payment:) The watch looks great. Thumbs up for PT. Attaching a few pictures. Please bear with my bad photoraphic skills. http://img236.imageshack.us/my.php?image=june2008064ta0.jpg http://img236.imageshack.us/my.php?image=june2008065uk2.jpg Will post better pictures. Need your help and advice on this. As you may see from the pictures, the crown doesnot sit flush with the watch even when it is fully screwed in. This makes the crown look much bigger than what it is, since it is protruding out a little. Wanted to confirm that this is a defect. PT has offered to swap the watch, but I want to be sure that there is a serious issue before getting a replacement. Will really appreciate your feedback on this. Thanks. Brat

Guys, Between Euromariner and PT's Supreme edition sub, which one looks closer to gen. I like dealing with Chris, but there is a fairly large price difference (515 $ for Euromariner with ETA, shipped to USA and 345 $ for PT's Supreme sub), hence this question. Will appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

Review of Acetimer 8 Watch Winder with lots o pics
SBrat replied to Blackrain's topic in General Discussion
Has anybody used A 7750 watches on Acetimer winder. Do they remain wound. I read from other posts on this forum that 7750 needs either clockwise or counter-clockwise movement to wind. Acetimer winder doesnot seem to allow direction control and alternates between clockwise and counter-clockwise movement, hence wondering how it works with 7750s. On another note, some of you guys have bought these winders a year or more ago. How are they holding up. Will appreciate your feedback.
