  1. Wolf I think you are officially responsible of my bankruptcy!! Because of your tremendous pics, now this one is on my list (BTW very nice shirt!!)
  2. @ Ubi; I must thank you for a lot of my inventary and for most of my knowledge, I owe you the opportunity and capabilities to improve my watches!
  3. Thanks Guys, There is one DW case and one VJ72 case for my VJ23 project I plan to assemble a DW silver 6263 (notice the corronet position on the silver dial) with copy movement and the PN VJ23 6265 on the VJ72 case with custom croc and deployant from the bracelet deployant buckle (i prefer deployant even if it was never made on this version) I change case back on my DW because it was not engraved... BTW this DW 6265 is in fact a engraved 6241, with a uncommon serial n° I never saw this one on any other DW? Anybody has a DW with a 6241 model n° engraved. So down the road I plan to put it back to it's origin condition: 6mm crown & tube and pump pushers and non oyster dial (still gathering parts) BTW I DO NOT OFFER MODS, I DO THIS FOR MYSELF ONLY
  4. Of course you need a few gen and aftermarket parts to repair your watches Nothing is for sale:
  5. I have received 2 from this ebay seller, gen indeed but one I received simply has received a shock that flatened the edge and teeth!
  6. Pfff all done!! I tried your method, Tony, and it worked!!Pics tomorrow! Well I broke the first tube inside the case at first, because I put to much force on the tube while screwing it. So I add to remove the thread with my dremel and a 3,5mm and I refinished the case and bracelet a little while I was at it (remember my DW6263 is the mother of all the DWs...the showcase model so it was not in a very good condition when I received it, it's better but my watch shows its age ) since I have it I replaced: Bracelet, endlinks, springbars, caseback, bezel, tube, gen crown, T21... The new crown change it all with the T21 fitted! Too bad the corronet is too high on the dial, this DW is incredible!
  7. I don't find it reasonable to pay $800 for 40 YO movement, even iif it's a great movement, it's nowhere rare, there are alot of other movement of similar quality and specs, but it's only because rolex used it that the price is high, so price can't be reasonable in my eyes... and it will go up! Anyway, I'm still goign to buy a VJ72 watch but probably not to retrofi on a 6263 case but just because this is a movement to own on a collection
  8. YEs I will try this, thanks for the complementary infos!!
  9. Jusr read your post Randy, for 150 I would have been all over it!! Sure it's a mod that would tremendously improve the watch!!
  10. VJ72 are horribly expensives lately because we are all looking for donor, just buy a VJ23 like I did, bicompax but otherwise it's the VJ72, so freeze the 6 o'clock hand et voilà!! I bought my VJ23 for 340 usd
  11. I have what appears to be helfand tube and the T8 Torx does not work, even a T10 is too small for the inner tube, so I'm off buying the real tool!
  12. 50 fathoms yeah, can't seem to find one I an afford or be 100% I'm not screwed anyway by a fake, so I prefer wait: food for the thoughts: http://www.watchdeco.com/fiftyfathoms/
  13. I too love this dial, I already inquired and looked around all parts are available, except the dial, but if enough interrest maybe it could be commissioned, from what a dealer told me this dial is expensive to make, but maybe it will come. http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Gold-GP-Watch-Case...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Gold-Silver-Watch-...1QQcmdZViewItem mixed with some black small hands http://cgi.ebay.com/ROLEX-DAYTONA-BRACELET...1QQcmdZViewItem Another solution is too use the TT black dial to make this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ROLEX-18KT-YELLOW-GOLD...1QQcmdZViewItem
  14. Ok my turn to speak only with actually repable watches due to the current movements used by the makers: not by any order of preferences: CARTIER 100 CHRONO TT, USING A 7753 with date pushers @10 like on the PAM 196 ! A Rep is due TAG CARRERA AND AQUARACER USING 7750: Bell and ROSS BR1 PVD using 2892, I wont cry if a 2824 is used! Blancpain specialité 50 fathoms vintage and rubber/steel modern, you can use a 2836 and 2836-3 modded on the modern GMT and a lower beat eta on the vintage Any Frederic Piguet look alike Chronograph with running second@6 from the modded 7750 but with 3 and 9 registers on line with the Hour and minutes pinion. I admitt thickness is problematic anyway: That'll be good!!
  15. I simply can't believe that in a 3 week time they changed the Men's ceramic version from good to bad, with the second hand being now completly wrong and the bezel font showing "15" instead of "I5" first gen second gen They made the bracelet 100% right now tough, with the black pins instead of metallic ones from the previous bracelet first gen second gen
  16. No I don't think there is a new version out for now, dial appears still flawed to me... Soon maybe will see the Santos 100 chrono using a 7753, with date pushers @ 10
  17. My very first 6263 was a lemania too but this bracelet rocks!
  18. Monaco is gen. To my knowledge I only saw one rep using a 2894 chronograph and it was a in a daytona, lol Yes I am too thinking of a PAM chrono, still hesitating on the ref number and the overall size of the case 44mm, 192 is too flawded, 212 has a plastic spacer that is the only thing preventing me from buying one (I don't care on a solid CB but I can't understand how markers can fit a metal CB on the 196 but not on the 212!! 196 is nice but you have to go with the 7753 while your at it, to make it perfect...and expensive! the 187, I don't have the wrist for this monster! but I like the GST though
