  1. I don't even know if there are reps of watch boxes beside of the usual watch brands' boxes? I hope it's gen! Should be like this one : http://cgi.ebay.es/ESTUCHE-DE-PIEL-PARA-RE...4QQcmdZViewItem
  2. http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...%3D50%26fvi%3D1 I managed to buy this box for 20€ it is said to be a scatola del tempo box, judging by the look of the poor pics of the auction it's this one: http://www.scatoladeltempo.com/en/new_pics...ucci/4%2B4_.jpg If it's indeed a Scatola del Tempo I did a pretty good deal as this watch box appears to be very expensive new The one I won is used and scratched but with a little of TLC it'll be in VG condition again ! Anybody as an idea of the real price of this one ? I search the purists with nothing but approx. price on similar items...
  3. BTW if anybody can do this, it seems that a few of use with this kind of project are interested !! Let us know! thanx
  4. I awaiting to assemble one before sending it to you, so you can wear it right away!!
  5. IIRC, the genuine movement is not a direct fit, there are a few thread speaking about that movement swap... Cheap solution is either to fit a 2846, or and better is to use an AS with the correct gen date wheel overlay, because date changes CCW like the gen but ask probably more $$$, Randy can speak about this I believe!
  6. I found 2 on ebay for $20 and 4 from a fellow member for around the same price!!
  7. Basically this is it... But the tricky part is to install/align the big second hand... It's frustrating this I have 2 complete 6263 waiting for assembly (with gen T21, crowns...)
  8. I'm looking for someone who could fit those 6 daytona 6263 chrono hands on a VJ23 movement, I'm not equiped and do not have enought accuracy to do it myself! So my great 6263 projects are complete but I can't assemble it because I don't have the ability to put the hand myself!! I asked Rob, Joe & Tommy all are unavail. for this job, so if someone can or know of a good and not too expensive watchsmith that could do that, that would be helpfull Many thanks guy!
  9. Certainly to avoid that confusion, without those big intentional flaws how many can tell the difference beween a mbw case and a genuine one?
  10. Forgot to add that i'll fit a gen insert and a slow beat 2846 ASAP (insert=$$$) Here is the result I'm aiming (note that the crown does not appear that straight either)
  11. Yes I'll let you know about that, but first I want to see the final product!! A new bezel is coming as this one is loooose !
  12. I tried my best to realign the dial with the date window, I jumped on the occasion to fit gen crown+ tube, but the tube doesn't appear to be perfectly straight despite all my efforts, strange I removed the black paint of the caseback... thin CG, lugs & superdome to come (I know it's not a DRSD but...I like the superdome and I will perhaps turn it into a DR down the road)
  13. On bond sub isn't that T16? The milgauss is on "rolex/other" on the silixwatch web site, it has already drilled lug holes... http://www.silixwatch.com/product.asp?id=627 but the case looks thicker and the crown is wrong: triplock best is to use the bezel from the milgauss, the case and dial from the bond sub and drill the lug holes but it's a tough task! I did not managed to drill trought the silix bond
  14. Very very nice work and tempting
  15. I find that I have the exact same problem on my replacement 1665 Frustation, frustration...
  16. Shaddy, you back??? Faded of gangbanging?
  17. Thanks guy, I will try my best, only a bit afraid of doing it on a MBW! Anybody has tips on how to avoid dust on the inside crystal once replacing the movement I can't seem to manage to have a perfectly clean crystal once I disassemble a watch!!
  18. I've received my replacement mbw 1665 - this one is better but there is still a visible misalgniment of the dial on the movement and in consequence the date is not aligned with the date window of the dial and the dial isn't straight on the case, Can someone point me to someone who can correct this or explain me how to remove and replace the MBW dial, not very confident right now removing the glue and a bit faded with all those problems on watches....I've been in a baaaaddd luck with reps this past months....(3 replacements)
  19. A link to those vids could be usefull ? I never heard of that conspiration
  20. When I screwed the tube mine just sits like the left one on your pic (with pushers) but I drilled around the case hole to make a little more room for the tube before screwing it.
  21. Yes I thought about 1675 too but I have a thing for no date sub (mcqueen had one)
  22. Yes to me also the biggest flaw is the numeral spacing, the swiss...made is barely noticeable IMHO... Crown is also a bug to me, I wonder if there is a chance to get parts for Santos 100 somewhere?
  23. And the price and location of a good 5513? I have been disapointed lately with the high end reps I ordered, even if all is sorted out with the dealers, I think it's time to make my second move on the genuine world: I'm hesitating between a zenith EP class sport or port royal around usd 2200-2400 and a rolie 5513 that watchinternational rates at €2800 but with the dollar being real low against the € these days, I thought perhaps I could reach a 5513 that being a rolex will probably hold its value well the good price for me would around $2500 (I don't really care about papers or accesories) Do you think it's the good time to buy since it seems price is moving up every 6 months now and do you know of some place selling 5513 for around my budget.
