  1. Look here http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=712 I prefer however use a VJ72 to fit the gen VJ23 (it appears possible, stem height needs further investigations to be 100%sure) as the rehaut is thinner on the VJ72 case and perfectly exact to the gen specs, the only flaw in my eyes on the DW6263 case is that it his a deeper rehaut compared to the gen, but with a T21 you can't really tell!
  2. I have added a third chronograph to my collection a 116520, I like them A LOT, even if I have not great, rare movements or in-house for now, I'm really satisfifed with the one I have, they've been running great, beside I never use the chrono, too scared, lol DW VJ23 copy runs ok for 9 months now, but anything can happen, gen VJ23 ready to be fitted on a VJ72 case soon... asian 7750 moded (one week old, soooo...I cross my fingers while knocking on wood) 2894-2 module chrono based on the well known 2892 on the monaco, it keeps perfect time main thing was to add another chronograph with a running second at 6, after one at 3 and one at 9... I'm very happy with the dial colors of the 116520, it adds diversity to my collection, blue, black and white, I can rotate now
  3. I received this watch this past week with white dial, I think the dial is pretty good, I don't clearly see the spacing difference between the gen and rep. the main flaws too me are: overall thickness to accomodate the 7750 the pushers are perhaps shapped differently and too close from the crown the crown guards wrongly shapped again but I'm surprised how the crown look good and sharp compared to the previous version I had bezel certainly too thick and not flat on the dial: red daytona color, placement Good point the etched crown on the crystal is there but invisible with the naked eye trust me, I simply couldn't capture it on the pics I think I gen dial would be great on it but it's rare and expensive, but first thing to do is to reshape CG, I'm still undecided wether to fit or not gen crown and tube... I saw that gen crystals are on sale on the bay, I don't know if they can be fitted on the rep case?
  4. My advice is to not use the chrono of a 30 YO VJ72 anyway...but again I tend to be very cautious with chronos... And I don't have any problem with the screw down pushers of my DWs, they screw-down REAL tight!
  5. I'm no expert but I believe Dial is off to the very least: http://cgi.ebay.com/ROLEX-1665-Double-Red-...1QQcmdZViewItem I believe experts can spot more than me!
  6. the venus movement is 14" when the valjoux is 13" so the VJ should fit the venus case, I don't think asymetrical pushers would be problematic, I've seen lemania fitted on DW cases with asymetric pushers...so maybe you could do the inverse swap? I'd be more concerned about the tickness o both that could make it impossible to fit on the FM case.
  7. Can't agree more with you David! A vintage heuer, yeah!! price is crazy though
  8. Great watch!! te insert reminds me of something I like that look - great work if it's a premiere it's promising!!

    Chanel J12

I've been looking at this J12 for men too, and for me not for the GF The biggest flaw to me is the second hand, arrow is too small, round tail too big and the post hole is visible when it shouldn't... Crown is also more "domed" on the gen... Overall great looking watch, the band alone made of real ceramic is great with what appear to be Loose End Links when all the other reps are incorrect SELs... I prefer the rubber strap though...
  10. Very nice, how does it perform, it seems the watch lost half of it's PR in less than 30min ??
  11. got my answer: sapphire from the italian brochure Thanks anyway
  12. Yep great watch, I love the 5513, @ miquel, you MUST have one too judging by your avatar.
  13. Panerai experts Are the pre-vendome Panerai from 1993-1997 equiped with a sapphire or plexi crystal ? I want to buy a slytech submersible... thanks
  14. here is the kind of dream display bos I'd like http://www.fototime.com/9E5A2053C6FFCCE/orig.jpg http://www.fototime.com/CF49F8660D04470/orig.jpg there is another seller on ebay germany making carbon boxes but with no OP logo, but less expensive around usd 250-300 for thr 12-16 watches box but the panny box homer has is damn close of the original ones: http://www.iswallow.com/chronos.jpg
  15. IIRC No mention of the COSC certified on PN GOLD, only on ref non exotic dial 626380 and 626580
  16. There is assymetrical pushers on lemania, in fact the DW or EE case as been made with lemania frozen @6 but spacing is off then, thickness/rehaut maybe... Anyway the main flaw on the DW is the rehaut...
  17. RBJ, what do you mean by "broach" the hands? I had the highest difficulties to fit that [censored] second hand on my PN DW6263
  18. When I look at the close shot of the VJ727 he sells I tought the belveled screw holes were ok compared to the VJ727, but the bridge was clearly wrong, now if all the movement has been modified...the question is were is it too much work to make $16000 I'm scared that this DW bridge wont fit a VJ72 anyway...
  19. I find it a bit suspicious even if the movement looks ok excepet the bridge? the lug holes only on one side? http://cgi.ebay.fr/rolex-daytona-cosmograp...1QQcmdZViewItem
  20. You can see the differences here, mainly rehaut height and crown tube position to accomodate the VJ72 thickness http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=712
  21. On "out of the box" rep I probably won't go anymore above the $500 mark on an excellent rep, but I believe when you start working on a project fraken I can reach a higher mark with no problem, but again that's because I don't see it,as I collect part by part and the 600+usd are spread on a several months span... Passed the $1000 mark I'm out of the rep world, because I think about the gen I could buy at that price (hell a lot of great vintage are in the $1000 range!) - except perhaps a 16520 franken, but I still think I prefer buying a zenith EP gen...
  22. Here are my comparison I made back in the days... http://www.replica-watches-guide.com/forum...=1851&hl=monaco and scans of the watch I received on a banda leather strap croc grain and deployant: http://www.replica-watches-guide.com/forum...=3084&hl=monaco
