  1. Jesus the dial looks crap! Is it made of cardboard?
  2. Yea I heard you can wind and wind, because when its fully done the clutch or whatever its called will engage and you can hear it clicking...... You cant OVERwind them. I just gave my auto a wind, with the glass back, and the rotor never moved (well maybe a fraction) nothing major though a fraction of a mm.
  3. I'll help you out you have a PM. Dont DIY........ask Dr Tub about DIY servicing.....lmao His watch is only good as a babies rattle now........
  4. Well I was gonna use tom.........he took a month just to reply! Its hard to find a good one though, none of the highstreet outlets will help, your usual watch fixing people just dont know how to work on mechanical stuff, they only adjust straps, and change batteries..... And I'm not comfortable about sending letting my watches go and be worked on where I cant see them. No way am I sending off replica stuff to watch smiths, no way thanks! lol
  5. Tom Highway takes AGES to reply, and I mean AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGES! I'm VERY lucky that I tracked down a retired Clockmaker/Watchmaker who works from his workshop in his home, he is in his late 60's, had all the lathes to make his own parts and movements and has a personal collection of 1000's of watches. Hes has draws and draws of ETA's, all the kit you would imagine a watchmaker to have, and a very very nice calm manner about him. He services Gen Rolex's Omegas and your run of the mill quartz movements. I kinda stumbled across him and will be taking my Omega down for a service this week, along with my Rolex to get him to put another ETA movement in there. He will be Fixing Dr Tub's Rolex which he took apart lol This old fella kinda lives in the stone age!....works by reputation only, and has made my day as he is only a 40mile round trip for me. The big bonus is him not charging silly prices, and I can drop stuff off by hand and be happy in the knowledge I'm not being ripped off. Because of his Age, and the fact he gets lots of local buisness he is not interested in recieving posted items, and the hassle of sending things off messing about with internet payments, its easier for him to have people physically take things to him, and them collect and pay cash on collection. Top fella. Seeing him later in the week.......bottle of scotch on its way to him as a thanks for looking after me and to keep him sweet S
  6. So is it a hoax or what? Cuz I have never seen such a fat chick with [censored] like a couple of asprin on an ironing board.
  7. Big bang? She caused the big bang !!! It's going bald too! LOL
  8. It cant be true! No one is that stupid! Try this one http://www.sherdog.net/forums/f7/i-got-mar...nd-pics-877461/

  10. ROFLMAO Awesome........obviously a wind up..........like the guy who poured sand into his intake to sandblast his headders........lol
  11. Gonna keep it, love it still, if it was worth more I would have thought about it. It's nice to have gens in the collection anyway! Thanks for the replies chaps Out.
  12. Cht, try swinging by his website and sending it via his website "contact us" link, it could be it's all accidently going into a junk folder my mistake. Hang in there mate, I know it's a pain but he will take care of it all, either that or just get a watch smith to sort fix things and ask if chris would be willing to hook you up with a deal, it's easier and faster all round that way mate, Im gonna use chris again in the new year and give him a chance to get his buisness on it's feet after the nightmare he has been through. A dealer with 100% feedback won't risk messing about just before they ramp up their buisness another notch, trust is hard to come by in this game and he has assured me he is trying his best to do right by everyone effected by his problems of late, I believe him and will stick with him for now.
  13. WOW........might as well keep it then! lol Not really worth getting rid of such a nice watch for that kind of money!
  14. He's not been on the ball of late.......... PT might be your best bet for the moment.
  15. Odd eh! ETA movements must be crap.
  16. I take it no one has a clue then............lol Furry Muff!
  17. Tub, He thought it was but agreed it was noisy. Rotor needs changing and he can add heavier oil.
  18. Hiya stilty, it went in this order... Watch arrived opened it put it on adjusted bracelet, screws threaded went into sun watch fogged (Not opened) bezel fell apart on turning it! Took it to watch smith to verify movement. Sent emails off about being let down with Qc and quality.
  19. WWW.PTSWISS.COM I'll be using him soon me thinks.
  20. Well he told me to send it back to Asia, he will fix it and do a an "extra QC" whatever thats all about! I bought because he was UK/EU based...... He said he will refund me $25 off my next watch! Well its gonna cost me that to send it back to him! Not only that its basically not compensating me at all really, 1/2 off another watch would be better, or even passing one on at cost price.... I'm not sending mine back, no way am I gonna pay to send it back, wait months to get it back again with no comms inbetween, I'm taking it to a retired watchmaker (like my very own The Zigmeister find) awesome fella, he said he will fully service it, fix the bezel, redo the strap issues with the pins, or machine me a new pin and make it watertight for $100 Personally i find $25 a bit of a slap in the face truth be told specially as his damd watch cost me over $500 If I had sent one of my top watches out in the condition I got mine, having also charged for QC too.....I'd send them a nice one at half price or cost price. He's still not out of pocket, I'd be happy and we can all get on a do what we do.
  21. I have an Omega Seamaster GMT "50Yr Anniversary" Edition........all the papers, everything. Its in pretty good nick, just the usual desk marks on the bracelet. Was just wondering what the value of this would be? Am told they were a limited run........(being the 50yr Anni obviously) And the gold Omega on the clasp is 18k........ Here are some pics of it........just curious if its worth selling to get more reps. Sorry about pic quality but you get the idea......
  22. Just seen a new fav watch.......... Rolex Deep Sea Dweller V2 Now this............looks unreal mate. VERY nice looking moody watch.
