Space, I too and a HUGE fan of Seiko, am buying lots of vintage Seiko stuff at the moment, I just love them and I cant explain why! Most of the one I have are Tanks, big heavy 70's ones. The one I'm trying to source at the moment is the Seiko Bullhead.....want one I can build myself, can get the new faces, hands, glass, bezel buttons and crown, new straps, the lot so am not bothered about the condition at all. Seiko are the way forward, a good heavy, honest solid lump of a watch. Well done on your purchase fella, looks cool!

The man speaks the truth! I like the car analogy, its true, I change my oil every few thousand (much more often that I should) but it runs beautifully. Its only when you leave a watch for YEARS then get it service, you realise the difference when you wind it, gently shake it or just generally feel it working, it will be silky smooth and muck slicker.......

Out of the box I would say the Euromariner, I looked at mine vs a gen in the shop and struggle to tell the difference, I've also had jewelers look at it and not be able to tell (obviously if someone opened it up they would know right away if they knew what they were looking for) The above watches look sweet though!

It's nice to have a one off piece like that, I had mine designed too, it's 18k beveled (sp) with a good sized diamond, the wife had hers made too, feels a little more special. Yours will be even more unique too! Get some pics in natural light when it's done

Nice lume! I really need that kinda glow on my stuff! I just cant find anyone to do it at what I think is a fair price, my smith wont do it because he said its so specialised and its just not something he wants to get into at his stage of life......lol He can send it away and get it done though......but I'm just worried it wont come back as bright as the superlume monster glow's you guys keep showing up with! Knowing my luck it will be re lumed with a bog standard normal spec lume!

But then I cant see the point in my wife having 18 bags in the top of her wardrobe that she never uses! I love the mechanical engineering that goes into these tiny little engines, so detailed, and accurate, evolving all the time.... And no matter what anyone says, if your wearing a nice watch, then it can be an ice breaker too. I'm not into a piece because of its face value, I have gens and reps, I like a watch that makes a statement and feels good on my wrist the way others might think about shoes, or bags or whatever.
