  1. Which part of the UK are you in and where did you find a watchsmith that would have a look at reps? As for AR, contact finepics.
  2. Ralex and Omega don't use 2893 type movements. The hour hand is independently adjustable in their watches, not the 24 hour "GMT" hand - a cheap and lazy compromise to make a GMT watch.
  3. Looks like a recessed cannon pinion
  4. Sad for Zidane. I'd wanted Italy to win at the beginning. Great first half, I was hoping for Luca Toni to score. 2nd half onwards France seemed to take over. For some reason, Camoranesi was switched over to the left, and France had more going forward down the opposite flank. By the 2nd half onwards I was more neutral though I was celebrating when Luca Toni scored the header - he was on-side, the other player wasn't, so it was a legal goal in my opinion! Anyway good match, just sad with Zidane, what a sad way to end a great career.
  5. Congratulations
  6. No news at the moment, just waiting to see what happens. They probably need to work on getting the date pusher working and the 7753 movement in place.
  7. On paneristi, the most used noun is..... (I'm) rich...............................No (You're) poor...............................No (I'm) Better (than you because I can afford a genuine)...............................No (Everyone who buys a replica is a) criminal...............................No What is it? What could it be? The word is......................... Scary As in "Look at how good that illegal replica is. It's scary!" Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....
  8. Seeing as it fits with Mahler's solution, I use a similar method to photograph (and not always well) close-ups of the dial etc. I put a loupe (magnifying glass) in between the camera and watch (subject) and take a picture. I've used that to send details of problems back to dealers and it seems to work ok.
  9. The new RWG watch?
  10. Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
  11. I know it's not TTK for those who are worried.
  12. Look up River in the dealer section. :velho:
  13. I prefer the 212 myself, but that's because I already have the 188 and 196 (both ETA 7753)
  14. Well, I need a new job... paying real money... not the $h!t I'm getting paid now ... If there's a proper job vacancy available...
  15. It's true, it's damn true! Eddie will give exact instructions on what to write on the declaration forms, as well as the value. If in doubt, he can always be emailed about whether correspondence etc should be in the package.
  16. Nice pictures though
  17. That would be great, but I'd recommend the IWC GST Chrono in titanium... You already have similar watches to the 250/1 (the PAM 188/196)

  22. From Wikipedia: "Sensitised individuals may show an allergy to nickel affecting their skin. The amount of nickel which is allowed in products which come into contact with human skin is regulated by the European Union. In 2002 a report in the journal Nature researchers found amounts of nickel being emitted by 1 and 2 Euro coins far in excess of those standards. This is believed to be due to a galvanic reaction."
  23. The virus keeps replicating
  24. Nice one, but it seems less like a review and more of a paid for advert!
