  1. Nope but did you see the Formula 1 race at Monaco... I went round that track in person last August when I went to see Liverpool defeat CSKA Moscow to win the European Super Cup. :1a:

I still can't believe Schumacher tried to cheat to get pole position in qualifying. He has a history of this kind of thing ... he's getting desperate knowing how good Alonso is.

  2. yep, its the lighting! the back of the seconds hand is not black.

Last project in terms of using genuine movements. Just couldnt resist when this movement became available for sale, I only picked it up for $210AUD and it was working very well, just need a 24hour hour wheel. Hands cost me altogether $60AUD and the replica case and dial cost me $90 AUD. 24 Hour wheel cost me $5AUD and bezel insert cost me $30AUD.

    So overall,

    210 + 60 + 90 + 30 + 5= $395AUD roughly.

Hopefully i can complete project by end of the week.

Sounds like you picked up the movement cheap, if you find any more let me know :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  3. Having owned the watch for close to three months, with flaws and all it is a kick ass watch. If Eddie offers it in the 7750 version I am sure it will be at a more reasonable price. Selfishly speaking, I hope it is available with a 7753 in it. I know that many of the current owners would happily buy that version as well.:)

I'm waiting on the 7753 too. I'm only going to get one (will have to save up) so can't afford both the Asian or swiss 7750 as well as a 7753. 7753 is the same movement as the real thing I think.

  4. Fast Eddie does it again :thumbsupsmileyanim:

    For flaws, I've heard:

    - the blue on the 1000m is not quite correct.

    - the date font is not correct (?not sure about this one - finepics/kruzer correct me!)

    - the date corrector is purely cosmetic and does not change the date like the genuine's 7753 movement

    - the helium valve is also cosmetic, I've only listed it because of the above point. All rep helium valves are cosmetic and non-functioning.

Not sure if there is anything else, I would guess the lume would not be good. The date change is purely movement driven and a genuine 7753 version would solve this problem

  5. It may just be me, or the lighting, but the back end of the seconds hand looks black when it should not be.

Go here for a good pic:

Don't forget to AR coat your crystal before putting it on - I know finepics does that in the UK but it's a little far for you I would think.

I'd be interested to know how much you would have spent on this in total. I think a 2nd hand genuine (good condition) would set you back around US$1100-1200 nowadays. But then you wouldn't have learned what you have in the meantime!

  6. A friend gave me his PAM catalogue. He got it in an AD when he showed him his 111H rep. He even told them it was a rep but they wouldn't believe him, and gave him a catalogue to look through for a future purchase. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

I'd like the Special Editions catalogue though :)

By the way, his rep is one of Silix's Asian 6497 reps. He took it off and showed them. I guess it's the way he dresses with his suits etc.

  7. I've been trying to find old games (in avi/mpg format) from Mexico 1986 and Italy 1990 tournaments. Especially the game between Brazil and Argentina 1990... and the final game Germany vs Argentina in 1986.

Trying to do a favour for a friend. Tried Emule and the usual torrent sites without success.

    Can anyone help? ;)

No idea, you can get best of previous world cups though on DVD.

I remember watching Brasil v Argentina in 1990, Alemao taking a long-range shot, and I think Caniggia winning it for Argentina. Don't remember it as a great game though.

Strangely enough, for the final of 1986 my dad took me and my brother to the park to play football and we never watched the tape of it afterwards!
