I
the PAM194. Nice clean dial, date window, 47mm and a bold bezel, what's not to like? Anyone have about $8K they don't want so I can get myself one?
If only ADs accepted RWG money
-
I don't know why anyone doesn't make a PAM194, much easier and no chrono issues.
-
Pourquoi?

Lord Clive: your humility awes me!
Gentlemen: the Chinese 6497 is a POS!!!!!!!! Stay away from these movements--they aren't worth the powder to blow them up.
Didn't The Zigmeister give them a good review though ?
-
Well, 44mm is smaller than 47mm, so I would think not? I can't say 100% for sure. Have you asked a dealer?
-
I'll be easy to recognize, I'll be the dark guy with the long black hair.
Maybe I should wear my Greece national team shirt...
Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...

111h,177h,the destro,and the 40mm blue dial.
Cheers,
D
Great! I guess Gran didnt nab your watches
-
That's a nice one too, but there is something great about the 187 / 194 bezel that I really like... maybe it's just bigger and stands out perhaps ?
I wonder if these will ever get repped?

I want them both!
Soemtimes there can be a bad reaction with the metal in a watch, especially in the summer months, so if I have a choice, I prefer it in titanium.
But I want both!
-
Ok.. Holburn it is then...
@ Chronus: Come the sooner you can.. I want to see you and especially your Plasmir chronograph.. and the only thing I prey is to look silly small in my wrist. If not I am going home with a new watch on my wrist
You bring the straps and screwdriver, I've got the RXW on the metal bracelet. I haven't tried the supplied Connolly straps yet, though they seem good.
What kind of watches does everyone have that will be turning up?
I'd guess you, finepics and clive will have the PAMs covered (can't wait to see the 187 and the 127 in the steel so to speak)... I think I'll do the RXW and another - depends what turns up in the post
I hope Davey can make it, he is the R*lx man.
I'm not sure what the others have though.
Will I recognize you by the watch over your sleeve ?
Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
I'll try to come ASAP, how long do you plan on sticking around?
It's bank holiday week next week, so that's on day less of pay... if I do 13 hour days Tues-Thurs plus 10 hours on Friday (9-7 or so) I'll be able to get close to the 50 hours I'd like in a 4 day week
-
I know it's not dissimilar to the PAM187, but it's in titanium
A much cleaner dial... I love it
I didn't want to link directly to panerai.com but here's the direct link to the page:

I love that bezel

Morning: RXW Plasmir Milgraph
Afternoon: Breitling Avenger Seawolf (titanium)

I have only had one person ask "is it real"...and I said, no...its a fake. I have had about 9 or 10 notice and say "nice watch" without identifying if they recongnize the brand, and to them I also say its a fake. I also explain it as a hobby and that I collect replicas of many many watches.
I could not imagine lying about it and having someone say "no, it is fake"
If it's some dodgy looking guy (eg. someone that looks like me), then i say it's fake. If not, then i dont have to say anything
actually the first situation has never happened.

Is it possible to fit an ETA 7750 movement into the titanium IWC GST Chrono? It comes with the Asian 7750b1 movement, but has the subdials at 6, 9 and 12.
Thanks.
-
Its not called "E-Series", it should be called "G-Series".
Also, since when does davidsenjp cary the engraved bridge movement?
Sorry, for some reason I thought it came from davidsen... probably explains why he didnt reply to me about that one!

Nice mix
Thanks Drizznay. I used to DJ hip hop and R&B a few years ago (a big reason why i have over 3000 CDs and records!), and then got into DJing latin styles at the same time, salsa, merengue, latin house etc. This was when Ricky Martin was big so the parties were pret
ty good.... And the girls
The guy I work with now designs high end hi-fi's and is going to Munich tomorrow for the big show. His stuff beats equipment that costs 10 times as much... too bad i cant afford the 10k I would to get one of his systems!
Anyway, he used to DJ across Europe and he has a wide range of tastes so I get exposed to a lot of music I wouldn't have otherwise, which is great.
One day, at work, it may be rock (today), tomorrow could be a hip hop day, day after could be house, another day could be R&B and so on.

I'm pretty sure the PAM127 also has the sandwich dial, but is E series.
So we'd expect the engraved movement. Is this the same as the CDG movement ?
-
Please everyone interested to come propose other locations..
If not, I have seen Clive's suggestions and they look quite nice.
Should we say for time 6 - 6:30 ?
I'll work til around 7pm (early for me) and then get picadilly line direct there... so i am more likely to make it 7:45-8pm if that is ok with everyone ?
-
I think the genuine's case is made of a mix of titanium and steel.
I'm interested in this, but as the genuine is supposed to be used - as a sports watch.
I want to wear it while playing soccer or squash or basketball etc
I'm not sure if a rep is good enough or not though ...

'V' reminded me of 'V for Vendetta', so now we can once again witness Veni's vicarious verbose verbiage for there is no vainful vengeful valedictorian victory.
Welcome back!

Seeing now that Angus and Davidsen have the engraved Unitas movement, what is the difference between E series and H series watches?
Especially pertaining to the PAM127 that will be put out.
Angus says that he will have the H series out soon, but may be referring to the movement.
What I know is that the PAM127 has engraved PANERAI throught the bridges, but I don't thing the 3 cog wheel screws should be blue though.
Thanks to anyone that can help.
