  1. Ok.. Holburn it is then...

@ Chronus: Come the sooner you can.. I want to see you and especially your Plasmir chronograph.. and the only thing I prey is to look silly small in my wrist. If not I am going home with a new watch on my wrist ;):p

You bring the straps and screwdriver, I've got the RXW on the metal bracelet. I haven't tried the supplied Connolly straps yet, though they seem good.

What kind of watches does everyone have that will be turning up?

I'd guess you, finepics and clive will have the PAMs covered (can't wait to see the 187 and the 127 in the steel so to speak)... I think I'll do the RXW and another - depends what turns up in the post :Jumpy:

I hope Davey can make it, he is the R*lx man.

I'm not sure what the others have though.

Will I recognize you by the watch over your sleeve ?

    Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...

I'll try to come ASAP, how long do you plan on sticking around?

It's bank holiday week next week, so that's on day less of pay... if I do 13 hour days Tues-Thurs plus 10 hours on Friday (9-7 or so) I'll be able to get close to the 50 hours I'd like in a 4 day week :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  2. I have only had one person ask "is it real"...and I said, no...its a fake. I have had about 9 or 10 notice and say "nice watch" without identifying if they recongnize the brand, and to them I also say its a fake. I also explain it as a hobby and that I collect replicas of many many watches.

I could not imagine lying about it and having someone say "no, it is fake"

If it's some dodgy looking guy (eg. someone that looks like me), then i say it's fake. If not, then i dont have to say anything ;)

actually the first situation has never happened. :Jumpy:

  4. Nice mix :victory:

Thanks Drizznay. I used to DJ hip hop and R&B a few years ago (a big reason why i have over 3000 CDs and records!), and then got into DJing latin styles at the same time, salsa, merengue, latin house etc. This was when Ricky Martin was big so the parties were pret :Jumpy: ty good.... And the girls :Jumpy:

The guy I work with now designs high end hi-fi's and is going to Munich tomorrow for the big show. His stuff beats equipment that costs 10 times as much... too bad i cant afford the 10k I would to get one of his systems!

Anyway, he used to DJ across Europe and he has a wide range of tastes so I get exposed to a lot of music I wouldn't have otherwise, which is great.

One day, at work, it may be rock (today), tomorrow could be a hip hop day, day after could be house, another day could be R&B and so on.

  5. Seeing now that Angus and Davidsen have the engraved Unitas movement, what is the difference between E series and H series watches?

Especially pertaining to the PAM127 that will be put out.

Angus says that he will have the H series out soon, but may be referring to the movement.

What I know is that the PAM127 has engraved PANERAI throught the bridges, but I don't thing the 3 cog wheel screws should be blue though.

Thanks to anyone that can help.
