I'd advise to get it. The biggest flaw is that the case back says 300m instead of 3000m but no one will see that, unless you are trying to sell it as genuine.
Apart from that it's great.
I should be there barring any mishaps.....
although I'm not sure about how much money I'll be able to spend now I have my hours cut drastically and 2 birthday parties that weekend
What to do what to do
I actually like how this one looks, but having already got the white dial 188 and the black dial 196 it would be one too many I feel, as well as the bank balance straining.
If you like it and don't mind if it's like the genuine 100%, then go for it, it still looks good!
If he can afford those new fancy uniforms for the crew on his yacht, why not new genuine two tone submariners for them too ?
Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
These are available with ETA 7753 movement. Already have a 188 AND 196 so i'll give this a miss. Now if the 187 comes out with ETA 7753
This watch here is not a Daylight but sure likes like the 188/196
a question if you have time. Is yours the same as joshua's?
I had made enquiries with joshua and his price is even cheaper than silix's in this case for this one particular watch. It even comes with the box and so on.
I don't want to do you out of any business though... if they are both the same I'm sure regular customers will stick with their dealer of choice.
TTK is correct, but from what I understand, it is not too difficult to polish out scratches from a plastic crystal.
Finepics is correct about the movement. The original Panerai watches had Rolex (pocketwatch?) movements.
The Russians copied this movement way back when and that's what's used in the reps.
The Zigmeister said in his review and in his experience with them that they can be rusty but once serviced properly should be fine. Do a search in The ZigmeisterZone for the proper review and make up your own mind.
I'm surprised by Trusty's comments as he doesn't stock it himself !
How good is the opening and closing mechanism?
And will there be a problem with a nickel allergy or anything like that ?
