Wait... I remember he mentioned something about the printer not printing them properly and getting them done again. Probably still with the printer. I got my 7753 ones, but not the 2892/3 ones yet.

If I have any contact with him I'll be sure to let him know.

I'm sticking my neck out here, so don't step on it! I know Mark's had health and eye problems and is out of the modding scene. I think he's sending out all the watches he's done (and no doubt finishing off any outstanding work)... after which point I doubt he'll mod again. His day job also involves using a loupe all day and doing the same in the evenings working on watches, at his age, has not helped his health. I've recently received back 2 watches he modded for me, and as annoying as it is to wait (and I waited over a year) it's something that can't be helped. Hope this helps anyone with issues, and hope everyone has a good day. Gotta get back to work.

Cousteau Lume, they are challenging but fun.
Chronus replied to RWG Technical's topic in Watch Repair & Upgrade
Lovely work. Truly an artist. Once the "Slevin" Aquatimer is out I can decide on which Aquatimer to get (either Cousteau or the Slevin) and get it relumed. Amazing job. I can't imagine the patience you must have to do this. I would get frustrated and chuck it against the wall ! -
I think the original rep was accurate (not sure how it is now), but that one has a polished bezel and yellow rubber strap, but you can buy the black strap separately (or ask the dealer for that one instead probably). With aftermarket straps etc, the strap option shouldn't be a problem.

Wondering why Josh isn't listed in dealer section
Chronus replied to wraithride's topic in General Discussion
He's changed his website a few times, possibly hasn't updated it yet. -
I have a genuine white chrono avenger dial for this ... but not a skyland one.

New version of the low-beat Asian 7750 copy movement
Chronus replied to Chronus's topic in Watch Repair & Upgrade
That's my reasoning. I don't care if the unreliable movement is used as long as the hand sizes fit the ETA 7750 ! -
Sales section is elsewhere...

I agree. The black dial FM Conquistador is one of the best unmodded reps (with minor flaws described above). The FM Casablanca in solid 18k gold is great too, but pricey.
-
It may be so, but there is no proof of this. It could just as easily be dealer advertising and hearsay to bump up the price, and boy has it bumped up !

I think I may have found a donor for personal ROO project!
Chronus replied to anton's topic in Other Brands Area
The MBW case is the best I've seen. That will set you back a lot more. Most of the other reps have the magnification on the watch crystal rather than the dial, but this may not be an issue, if you continue reading below. As to the magnification. If it's on the movement, you may have to check the genuine (or even rep) dial which has the magnification on the dial, I think. You may have to remove the one from the movement or the dial to get it to work. If the magnifier is on the watch crystal, you can just remove that. -
any news with the "lip marks"? Chieftang said it was impossible to avoid this, so I'd be interested to hear/see what happened.

Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...

Makes sense to me. I always liked it, and now I understand the story behind it. Another one I like is The Zigmeister's one. I believe it's a painting of his own. A picture of a bygone age

I don't have a gf at the moment, can I meet her ?

With the watch, as you had not agreed anything with shipping beforehand, it is understandable why the dealer wants you to pay. He hsa you over a barrel, and you really should have agreed it beforehand. As it is, you can order another watch and get them shipped back together, or just pay the charge and get it back. If you ask for registered mail, it will be cheaper but take longer.

He's in Australia, not America!!! Tell him it's stoppage/injury time.

Ah, Pug knows a thing or two... ( Dun be a Pug! ) WWE has lazy writing nowadays and sometimes take aspects of what someone is good at to create their character. The Rock became good when he was given free reign on the microphone. Stone Cold got his anger from being sacked by fed-ex by WCW (Eric Bischoff). Some characters are manufactured totally (Goldberg, Brock Lesnar) but not all. Trish started out as a manager and wanted to wrestle as she was a fan since a child. Most of the women in WWE are not wrestlers and few show the same aptitude or ability to develop their skills. Most put on awful matches and have to rely on the "Bra & Panties" type matches for fans to want to watch. On top of that, charisma is hard to come by. A title reign is usually given to a popular wrestler ('s character) as recognition of their value, wrestling ability and increasingly their money-making ability. Trish Stratus was the most bankable female wrestler. Some manufactured characters just dont succeed. The Rock in his first incarnation as Rocky Maivia was hated even though he was supposed to be a "good guy". And kayfabe is occassionally broken - the Bret Hart Montreal incident springs to mind. Hmmmm, I know far too much, it's been a long time since I watched any current wrestling.

Trish Stratus, former fitness model, record-holding multi-time WWF/E Women's Champion and former medical student. She refused to do Playboy while many others in the business did not. She proved a model (and wrestling fan) had it in her to become a great champion cheered on by the fans, and won the Women's title an unprecedented number of times. She started out as eye candy and a "manager" for 2 misfit wrestlers. She went on to become one of the most popular wrestlers (men or women), and could put on a great match, raising the bar in women's wrestling in North America (the Japanese have the best wrestlers, but not the same charisma). She quit at the age of 30 (end of last year) to get married to her childhood sweetheart and have a family. Her last match was in her hometown of Toronto where she received a standing ovation in her farewell match.

I remember now, the episode with the return of K-9 as well.
