  1. Yeah I got a beginner guitar.. the iAxe. You can connect it up to a computer and use that as the amp and get all different sounds out of it. A cheap way to get started I think brand new it's around $150-200, but I got it used. I tried the James Bond theme tune so far It's disheartening when little progress is made though
  2. i saw your eruption video... nice... and i dont really know van halen's music And I'd like to be self-taught too.... just don't know how to do it. And if that's rusty... I'd like to be rusty And i notice a watch on the wrist in those videos
  3. who cares? RWG is all we need
  4. Where and how did you learn? I can't play for sh!t but I'd like to learn
  5. Yep me too! And couldn't afford to leave for university, or I would have considered places in america
  6. Perhaps we should ask some Chinese dealers about the truth of this legend
  7. That's the problem with this legend... but also makes it a great one to recount I only knew Taiwanese, Singaporean, Malaysian, Japanese etc at university. Strangely, no Chinese apart from BBC - British Born Chinese Compare with boiling a lobster alive - seen as normal in the west and america... I saw baby lobster on the menu in Copenhagen when I was there a couple of years ago. Yeah I know you're Indian In London too ? I think you're right about making the bad guys look even more twisted, but they did decide to set it in India with this cult... and you know how many stupid people there are in the world that would believe this is a normal menu of authentic Indian food... I guess all the restaurants have debunked that a long time ago though
  8. I've taken some pics... but alas, they are still on my phone. My phone probably has more free disk space than my computer! Will get this fixed in the next month or so And Pug can lend me his Slevin so I can take some pics
  9. Dun be a pug! And is that a Chav leash I see there ?
  10. I was intrigued by this - especially remembering the "chilled monkey brains" in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (a film that was banned in India for its "racist portrayal of Indians and overt imperialistic tendencies"). Do the Chinese really eat live monkey brains? Anyway I found the original article you found (with all the same pictures you've linked to), as well as the same site believing that this is just a legend, stemming from a menu from the Royal Palace a few hundred years ago... something that is probably very very rare in China today, if even practised. See the site here. According to this, it's a legend that has gone on and on, and no one seems to have eaten it themselves in China. Ask a Chinese there and they may say they know a friend of a friend who witnessed it, or that it's eaten in a different region, but virtually no firsthand accounts. So, if it's done, it's probably very very rare.
  11. That could lead to even more population growth, unless nature devises another way to limit it...
  12. You forgot to mention the useless drain on finances that is the craving of timepieces...! (oh and love the Akuma animation)
  13. Let's chop down the Amazon rainforest so there is more lebensraum for the human population...
  14. Wait, ignore that last comment.... that'll get BOTH you and TeeJay on my back Not even Pugwash will want to get involved then
  15. That's IF we/you believe god is male and exists The things I do to avoid doing any work
  16. Why should you defend yourself via unnatural means by shooting an attacking tiger, for example? And how do you know it's intent? Perhaps it wants to jump on you and roar at you to scare you, and then it'll lick your face and go away? And also given the ability to make weapons to kill animals, or a brain to figure out how to breed animals for consumption - how many of them would be in existence if humans had never eaten meat? That's if you believe in a god Why live in a man-made house? It's all unnatural, and the human race is overpopulating the planet...
  17. Have fun out there, lucky guy... And don't forget my watchonpo titanium PAM194 If only.... Enjoy yourself, look forward to the stories and the pictures you bring back with you
  18. I got a pair of titanium Serengettis after having laser surgery And I guess marketing and advertising in a film like X-Men definitely helped Oakleys sales!
  19. I was going to get the Sony Ericsson k850i (upgrading from the last 3 Sonys I've had) but didn't like it's flaws... iPhone was discounted for the cr@p camera (I don't have any other camera but the phone)... was going to take the LG Viewty because it can do what the iPhone can do and more.... wasn't interested in the Nokia N95 because of the poor battery life, but luckily the N82 came out and I got that... Anyway back to the topic, I'm going to try and put my email on my phone too... didn't realise things had moved on from POP3 ... Imap sounds good as I just want to see the headers. I have 2 x 8gb cards (will get the 32gb cards when they are out though), and one is filled up with photos and 6gb+ of music, while the other has video of the wedding I went to in the weekend at 640x480 resolution at around 30fps. Not sure how much space is on there, as well as all the games and webpages I've saved. I haven't tried RWG on there yet, may give it a go later on. Find myself listening to too many football podcasts lately Anyone gonna start a RWG podcast
  20. Is it possible (or easy) to swap in an ETA 7750 for this?
  21. I agree about the chrono version... without a good dial and possible solid gold bezel, i guess my dream of the standard Santos 100 will never come to fruition.
