sounds like everyone had a great time, and some interesting info there too MBW already has the AP ROO with secs at 12 but it is the expensive ETA with DD Chrono module. MBK will have the modified Asian 7750 movement with secs at 12, so that will probably be the one to go for unless the Chinese improve their cases and dials etc. MBW uses the MBK as the base for their secs at 12 though, just modifying the case. Interesting times ahead... and I agree.. fewer top quality reps is better news... that way everyone can hopefully get them instead of having to pick and choose

And they won't let you compare another sound system to theirs either. I think it's written into the contract for the dealer. Also, they won't even get their sound system THX tested.... knowing it wouldn't pass. A lot of their pending patents are old designs from the 60s with a minor change in the circuitry to make it a new design.... still pending.... the budget goes on marketing rather than real pushing of the boundaries.

I am glad that not everybody is bought by their marketing hype. Especially their home sound systems... they cut out so many frequencies and bounce sound waves around to make it sound LOUD. Ever try getting your own CD played in a BOSE demonstration ? They have their own CDs to make it sound good so you buy buy buy. I know the lead designer of a high-end audio company, he showed me where to get a less aesthetically pleasing, but far superior surround sound system at around a third of the price of the Bose one... they mark up as high as the Cartel dealers !

The LCD's 120MHz frame rate will be great if you're playing your console or PC games, but it cannot add in frames from a DVD that aren't there. I can't remember right now, PAL is around 24/25 frames per second, NTSC is around 29.97 (approx 30)... how do you add the extra frames from the source material ? Many games are designed so it can take advantage of higher frame rates. Adding frames is like digital zoom (as opposed to optical) on your camera - it artifically does things, and the result isn't necessarily great.

I was using the doxa strap removal tool, so no problems there removing the bracelet. The problem is getting the spring bar (with strap) to sit in the hole as it's quite close to the watch.

Annoying isnt it ?

PS. I've had this problem with genuine watches too... try putting the rubber strap onto a Doxa... what a b!tch ! I haven't taken it off the rubber...can't bear to go through all that gnashing of teeth and frustration! Sorry for the language... it is so frustrating!

Strap changes with Pams are so easy and quick... people take them for granted. I've been trying to change a strap on another brand and it has taken an hour of frustration, lots of swearing, and lack of sleep, and still it is only half done. Trying to re-attach spring bars that are close to the watch case make it so difficult. An exercise in futility. I gave up. Any tips on how to attach straps quickly and easily to most watch brands, eg Franck Muller, Omega etc, if the band is the full width of the lugs and there is no "hole" to work with a spring bar tool ? I'm gonna go to bed now and try and get a couple hours sleep before work :cry1:

modded uPO on right wrist (just got back from a wedding!), and cos I just found where I'd pu my classic ETA 2892 FM Conquistador.. that's on my left wrist, Johann Cruijff style (ie. very very loose bracelet that hasn't been sized!)
