I guess you win the 'who got most snow then'
We got a good slush here in Southern England

Happy Easter!

Ulitimate PO, because the Casino Royale is the same, with different case back and second hand, but more expensive
I'd buy the Ultimate PO, and get the rubber strap from Silix

Lovely watches aren't they! Unfortunately there was never a rep made, might be a future one, we'll have to wait and see. They have just released a new Seawolf in grey and black, but it looks a bit 'cheap' looking from the photo's.

Just got back from looking at a gen at an AD. Wow, it is an awesome watch in the flesh! This is now on my list!
-
Gen BCE - 300m
Gen SW - 3000m

Looks pretty good. The inner bezel, where the numbers go from 5,10 -> 55. They need to be moved a fraction inwards towards the dial. On the rep, they are sitauted smack in the middle. If you see the gen, they are about a 1/3 away from the inside. Is only a fraction, but a flaw that is noticeable.
-
It is a shame that they have carried the flaws from the Chrono Avenger over to the seawolf. It can't be that hard to fix the pearl and the '4' on the bezel.
-
They never made a yellow Breitling Seawolf AFAIK. Production of the other dials have stopped, they d sometimes come up in the member trade section, but fetch fairly high prices. Im still waiting for one to come up again, my holy grail watch of the reps
-
Certainly an eyecatcher, but as longshot says, I would rather go for a gen over this!
-
I would be very interested in this guide to etiquette in regards to which watch to wear in the different situations. Even if people think it is not something that they would use as a guide, I think we can all learn from it, it would be great information to have as it is a big part of our hobby. Looking forward to it Ethan

Putting the spacing of the sub dials aside, this is an awesome watch! I could quite happily live with a minor flaw like that, it must have such a presence when wearing it!

This is definitely the most random thread I have ever half read........Demon's and Peter's.........

Did he remove the anti-mag cover? He might have been convinced at that stage of its authenticity, and therefore not looked at the movement.
Nice story, and good you ahve found a rep happy watchsmith!

Love it! Wear it well!

Great purchase! Can't wait for mine to arrive. Wear it well

I'm pretty sure that the gen white dial is 'white-white', not a 'silvery white'. I saw one in an AD that looked very white. Granted i didnt have anything to compare it to, but it didn't seem to be tinted at all.
-
@ TTK - I was just about to email you about buying that Omega, then I read that it is a genuine
I have never seen that styled Speedmaster before, it's beautiful!!
Shame about the movement! Did you email the 'dealer' asking him about it?
-
Looks like they've finally repped the Montbrillant Datora. It's a stunning watch, hoping the dial is more white than the ceamy pic below. If they release a black dial, Im certainly in!
EDIT - Not sure if I'm meant to link to pictures on outside sites now? If not let me know and Il remove it......

Personally I don't drink the "If you go into an AD wearing a rep, you're an idiot" Kool Aid myself. And that's because 99.99% of AD sales folk I've encountered have been anything BUT knowledgeable about watches - even the ones in their own cases. Not to mention that my reps are of fairly high quality (if I do say so myself). But, the last guy who KIND OF knew about watches in general saw my 196 and said to me "nice Pan-er-ray".
So, honestly, I'd have no problem sticking my 16610 rep in a Rolex AD sales person's face. None at all. But on the otherhand, I really have no burning desire to do so either.
I think the issue isn't the wearing of the watch to the AD, because as you say, the majority wouldn't have a clue form far, or even close distance. Most of the people I have spoken to in AD's are there to sell watches. Most of them don't have as superior knowledge as a few members here about the watches they sell. I feel the problem is when people start waving it about trying to see if they fool them. That's where I think it's ridiculous. I wear reps all the time, if I go into an AD so be it, but I never make a point of flashing in front of them to try and spark a reaction.
I was once outside an AD looking in the window, I had my PO on, and a guy came and stood next to me, noticed the PO and said 'Blimey these Omega's are getting common now aren't they' (tongue in cheek kind of way) then went to show me his blue SM. I just gave a smile and a 'looks that way doesn't'

I can't say whether it will be available in the future, but the datefont is off on all Breitlings to some extent. Best fix at the moment is to get an ETA datewheel. Although it's not exact to the original, it provides a slightly better font.

Well said, Happy Easter to everyone.
