Assuming of course that the AD mod the watch...the most scary senario would be that this watch came directly from big mama Rolex!!! Now that would be a disgrace Another senario would be that the had been swapped with the rep at a time when the AD had his eyes somewhere else, but i guess that could be easily checked with the s/n.I wouldn't reject that senario though

Something i thought i'd share with ya guys http://www.chronometrie.com/rolex3135/rolex3135.html

Actually dial color is what Rolex calls "Rolesium", platinum grey i think it's the most appropriate color to describe it.
-
Well as soon as George gives us some signs of existance i will order one as well from him
-
You should get it then this is a purchase you are not going to regret, ever After i got the BK V3 and installed a gen insert i thought i would never find another rep to wear without the thought that i might get called off....well...i was wrong!!!This replication is even better and without even having to replace anything...although i am planning in the future some gen parts mods since i consider this a definite keeper I've spent hours and hours studing photos of the gen from every possible angle, could not find a single flaw and we are talking about macro shots here where every little detail is visible!!! The only thing i was worried about was the weight but like i said the difference is only around 6-8 grams so no problem there as well.
-
Nope no problems at all, i have received 3 watches from BK without any kind of problems.
-
Oh and SEL fit on this one is one of the best i have ever seen, i wish WM9 could achive that kind of fit on his SUBS as well

@Red, i was quite as sceptical while i was waiting for the watch to arrive since i had already had my share with a couple of daytonas. But trust me Red this watch is in a major player, totally at a whole different level.Once i put it on my wrist it captured me.You need to see the combination of the platinum/red/white/green luminus symphony taking place on the dial, it's mesmerising. I got to say, i have worn a lot of watches and this is the best, second to none Red. I was also quite sceptical regarding the weight, i was reading all over the so-called "gen/WIS forums" that this watch is heavy due to the platinum bezel. That's a whole bunch of crap i say The actual weight of the gen bezel/insert is 10grams, 6 grams heavier than the Sub bezel.Gen i think weighs 144 grams, this one weighs 138 (i think)due of course to the ss bezel/insert which of course is made of SS. I think those guys over there just think this watch is heavy, after all the bezel is made of pure platinum so it's got to be really HEAVY ...yeah right @Toad BK standardize on a clarcks crystal, datewheel re-allignment,guarantee that the movement is a gen ETA.On earlier pieces he was using his custom made crown but from what he told me he now uses the latest batch of crowns George supplies since it is almost identical. But for me the most important thing is that BK is always there to help you solve any potential issues, and also gave me the "D" word i told you in my pm great gesture on behalf of Bert

Tips for selling and buying...............
jmarin.72 replied to capice's topic in General Discussion
Just like R , i also have mailed more than a dozen with a 100% success.I always send the watch as registered mail (letter type, not as package), here PO always issues a tracking number for this kind of service which of course i send to the buyer. These kind of mails usually go under the customs radar since they are send as regular letters, hence they do not keep a close eye on them. I have been shipping in EU and overseas (US mostly) for more than two years now and never had a problem. J -
Rolex as status symbol or just "a plain dependable watch"?

I agree 100% here with Stephane. An if you happen to hear a comment in my opinion it would be "Hmm...this is a fake right?" Doesn't sound too much of a comment for a "status symbol" IMHO.What i want to say is that with Rolex being the most replicated brand in the whole world someone who wants to make a status statement should rather consider wearing another brand. -
Thanks Mike, buyer proved himself and stood by me all the way, excellent response from his part None of that was his fault, this was due to banking security reasons only.

Everything you wanted to know about watches...
jmarin.72 replied to hackR's topic in General Discussion
great idea R Still trying to think but it will all come up to me later. -
Well i really hate myself for raising the alarm through this thread but the whole situation seemed like you said a little off.I mean, if it was just a dispute ok it wouldn't be so strange, but a reverse from the bank?well i got to say that the buyer really stood up and resolved this asap despite the hour difference (he is in the States) Mod has been notified for the false alarm, sorry guys.
-
Ok guys i got good news. The bank has returned the funds back to me, i have to thank the buyer , he was all the way there with me, he proved himself to be a trusted guy with no cruel intentions, i would definitely do business with him again. Seems to me more like a bank/cc issue rather than a devious buyer. Now i'll have to wait till the watch has been delivered to him and post a member transaction review, definitely positive. But i guess this was a good chance for all of us to get another report of how PP works and what to expect when there is a bank/cc issue. I wish to thank all of you for your advices , tx gave some great pointers for all of us , and Ubi for contacting me personally via pm. I will send also a pm to the mod to let him know that everything is ok.
-
Well in my opinion the reversal might have been made by the buyer's bank, maybe for security reasons?I really can't seem to find a way for the buyer to reverse the transaction by himself. Good thing is that we are in touch with the buyer so i think we are in a good way.
-
Thanks Red, yes i aggree this whole reversal thing looks way off. Well like i said buyer has already contacted me twice, he said he is already making efforts to reverse the funds back to me so we'll see how it goes
-
You are 100% right there PP charges fees but when you need them to help you ...well.... Regarding the deals gone bad thing, yes i have been noticing that lately, this is why i posted this thread and notified one of the mods so early, just in case.I have never stopped having faith in RWG members but sometimes you can never be so careful. Anyway, for now lets stay to a false alarm thread, till further notice
-
Well i haven't found such kind of function but i just got a message from the member. Please keep posting your advice and i will post updates , hopefully soon enough. And no dispute there, i was really surprised.Maybe it could be a bank reverse issue due to a stolen cc reported.Good news is that the member has made contact so hopefully this will get resolved soon enough. PP sucks btw!!!

Ok guys, this does not look to good but i keep my fingers crossed.Opening this thread just to get some advice, also mods have been notified. Last week i had a watch for sale and it was bought by an RWG member.Payment went through OK and watch shipped yesterday as promised along with a tracking number.Send the info to the buyer, had no reply, ok no worries there.Today i got a notice from PP that he has reversed his payment, and currently my PP balance is negative (thankfully i had withdraw a great part of my payments received since i had a couple of other transactions payed)so the amount that was transfered back to him was 188euros (not a small amount of money though) Worst part is that my PP balance is currently negative and i got not kind of explanation nor a warning note from them member prior to this reversal.I have already pm'd him and waiting for some kind of explanation, i will also contact my PO service and try to freeze the shipment Any kind of advice though would be more than helpful. I will keep you posted on any kind of development, if any Thanks for reading John
