  1. Normally happens when A7750 movement is modified.
  2. I wonder if it can fit my gen PO 45mm.
  3. The watch looks nice. If we put all the unique designs of all other watches into one watch, this will be it. Interesting.
  4. Looks like 2, 3, 4 and 8, 9, 10 are all too close together. The font maybe bigger than gen. But, who cares, it's a sweet looking watch! Thanks for sharing!
  5. You are right, R. The Skyland crystal doesn't cut reflection very well (sometimes gets annoying). For a watch with too blue AR, maybe it will make a blue dial look even better...
  6. Haha, I'm not mad If you like it, that's really all matters. It's really not a bad watch in my opinion. As for me, getting use to the watch is one thing, it's just that I recently caught an AP bug. I want my next watch to be a new ROO black dial second at 12.
  7. BT is trying to really hard to convince himself to like it... ok BT, good for you
  8. BT, Thank you for writing back! On my v3, the blue hue is very apparent (a lot worse than my BCE). Basically I see the hue every time if I'm not looking perpendicular to the crystal. Since the crystal is very hard to be removed off Skyland, I've been seriously thinking about getting new v2. I hear you about the fish dial. They might just use a picture instead of the actual thing. Although the rep AR coating is a bit off for some reason, on this watch, the AR coating doesn't seem to be a major distraction fortunately. But on my Skyland v3, it's pretty noticeable.
  9. Guys My SA and SA BS's AR coatings are incredible, and I've noticed that the AR coating on both watches are described on dealer's website as "Double AR, Swiss standard" What does it mean by Swiss standard? AR coating becomes more and more important to me for some reason, I wonder from now on, I should only buy ones marked with "Swiss standard" I love my Breitling Skyland v3 a lot (serviced by Zigmeister), but it's its blue hue of AR coating starts to bother me. On the dealer's website, its AR coating is decribed only as "double AR" whereas on Skyland v2, it's double AR swiss standard. Can someone tell me if the Skyland v2 has equivalent AR coating as the newest SA/SA BS? Thanks!
  10. I think I've found the perfect solution for fitting the gen bezel to the v3 case. Previously, RealReplica mentioned that he had to use paper clip extenders to make his bezel screws longer to lock the bezel in place. I had similar issue with one of my BCE cases. My gen bezel locked to the case just fine, but it had about 0.1mm gap between the bezel and case under normal condition from the bezel ratchet pushing up. The gap could be closed by me pressing down a little and it would stay down as long as I had my fingers on it. Anyway, I happened to think about it on my way to grocery store yesterday. I thought my problem was the retaining clip (or bezel spring) on the gen bezel not clipping into the groove on the case, which also happened to be RealReplica's problem. Except on his watch, the bezel didn't lock down to the case. So, I went home. Took out the BCE v2's original rep bezel retaining clip. The wire was measured to be 0.1mm in diameter. I straightened the wire with my leatherman tool, and slightly bented a bit and fit it into my gen bezel. Then I put the gen retaining clip on top of it and made sure the fitting of the two wires... fit it to the case and done! No more play on the bezel! I think this method works the best with SA because it needs 0.18mm, and with my BCE v2 rep retaining clip, I can gain 2.0mm. If the bezel is too tight, the rep retaining clip can always be thin down a bit with help of the sand paper. Please note that, BCE v2 + corrected dw has thicker retaining clip (more gen like), so it may not work for you unless you really sand it down a lot.
  11. Thanks for the excellent review BT! Knowing what ETA is doing (reduce their movement supply to third parties from 2008 to 2010, and after 2010 stop supplying movements, this would give time for other watchmakers to get independent from ETA), Breitling seems to be doing what they need to do. I'm not surprised after 2010, all breitling chronograph models will sport this movement or another in-house one. I just feel bad for the smaller legit guys. They don't have the $$ for their movements. HackR, I hear you man. I'm on the fence too. Still trying to get use to the recessed dw.
  12. It means I can get a good deal on a SA white dial or a move expensive black stencil dial (not so good deal). Decisions, decisions. I don't want the watch looking too huge on my 7.5" wrist for sure. So far, I know I can get by with a Breitling SA BS with black dial... but then I have too many watches with black dial and there is a big difference on pricing...
  13. Guys, Does it need another service or just need to be regulated. Any thoughts on it? Thank you very much! Cougaree
  14. I expect less than 100 for ETA 2824-2/2836-2 or ETA 6497/6498, 200 for A7750/ETA7750. Full service.
  15. Guys, Is there only one version or two? It seems to me there are two, but I've never seen any in real life, only in pictures. I'm talking about only the logo, not the minute marks or dial colors. Thanks! Cougaree
  16. According the logic in my head, they are interchangeable, both use ETA 7750 movement, etc. Am I right? Thanks!
  17. This is how... you are right, it's pretty hard to rep this.
  18. Nice! Now, there are two watches on my wish list...
  19. Nice! Thanks for the info! This may be too much to ask, but I can't help it Can he source Breitling parts for us?
