Thanks! I will watch and be patient. MT

Thanks to both. BTW...highoeyazmuhudee, what would that P/N be? Thanks, again! MT

Where would one purchase a gen sub, black & silver bezel insert? I have tried the Watchbandman, Watch Material and Jewelry Outlet inserts and, IMHO, they are all wrong. The 2 is wrong. It just doesn't look right. Need a gen for my MBK. If someone has one for sale, just say. Thanks! Mike

Lani, where can one see Yuki's insert. I have used the Watchbandman and Jewelry Outlet inserts and, while good, the 2 is wrong and I just don't understand why these people won't make a correct insert. One more questions. Where does one buy a gen insert with pearl? My MBK deserves that. Thanks! Mike

You could go to Baily, Banks & Biddle and they could fix you up with a DJ that would be just right.

I was just wondering who, here, takes their case back off and shows the movement to folks. The movement is the biggest dead giveaway there is to your rep. Engraving 3135 on the bridge does not a 3135 make. If you show the movement to them they will know for sure then...won't just think anymore.

Definitely not an LV dial and hands.
-
I know...I know. Between Gio and Vlydog...I don't know.

With the girl, who needs to know what time it is? Everytime I see her, I just think all this other blah, blah, blah is crap.

This watch looks exactly like PeteM's was in another post of today on this forum. Seems like more than an isolated incident.

Has anyone attempted a Rolex 3135 Swap in the DSSD Rep?

Not sure why you'd put an $1800 movement in a $40 case. Believe I'd be looking for a gen case on the bay to put it in. -
I agree with Panerai153. I don't even like the rehaut engraving on the gens. Just looks ostentatious, or something...too much. BTW...all the mods that I did to the Noob...just about anyone can do. The only two that it really needs is the insert and pearl. The others are just WIS stuff. I bought mine from Eurotimez and recommend them as a trusted dealer. Neo can take care of you. I will say that when I moved to the MBK case (also from Eurotimez), it made me realize what a great watch the Noobmariner is. Well made and well executed. You have made a great decision. (Made me a little sad to put the Noob case in the drawer.) Again...post pics when you get it. Mike

This is a basic Noobmariner...from the Noob Factory, with some mods done to it. Gen Swiss ETA 2836-2 Jewelry Outlet bezel insert modded and inset Watch Material Pearl BKs custom crown set BKs date wheel overlay Modded CGs Then I took the works out of the Noob and put them into a new MBK 16610 case set from Eurotimez. Essentially it is a Euromariner. The Noob has a shallower rehaut than gen. It also does not have bezel teeth that are long enough and they turn down at too sharp of an angle. The MBK case set fixed those two things. Still need to work on CGs. Noob bracelet fits the MBK case better than it fit the Noob case. I plan to get a gen insert and pearl...also gen crown and tube.

If he changed the dial and hands a couple of things could happen...if he doesn't know the correct way to set the hands. 1. Simplest thing. Second hand could be dragging lightly on the back of the crystal. Easy fix. 2. Could have set the hour hand down too far and it is dragging on the dial or just around the hole, although this will most likely stop the watch. 3. Second hand could be kissing the minute hand each time it comes around. Get a magnifying glass and watch it. 4. Minute hand could be kissing the hour indices. For the change to have been that dramatic after the "dial and hands were changed" I'd look at these things first before I'd rebuild the movement. MT

Rolex Gen 3035 Movement w/Hands and Crown

I'm spending on an MBK 16610 right now. It's looking good. I don't need more than one project at a time. -
Rolex Gen 3035 Movement w/Hands and Crown
preacher62 replied to preacher62's topic in The Rolex Area
I'm just saying... If the movement is serviced might be a good deal for a franken...for and orthopaedic surgeon. Could probably buy a gen for just a few more. -
You might email BKLM1234@gmail.com. BK used to sell Noobs. He even sold one called a BKmariner, I think that was a Noob with some of his mods performed. He is also in the Collectors area on this site.

I agree with highoeyazmuhudee. I recently ordered an MBK case set to relocate my Noobmariner works to and did not give a thought to the engraving. I was afraid, for almost a month, that I would get the engraved rehaut. I DO NOT WANT ONE. When that is all that's left...I will have bought my last sub rep.
-
Thanks, again! I was hoping that that was the case. I'll try. On my Noobmariner it was great to get BKs case set as it just screwed in the current drilling. I'll try a crown from wholesaleoutlett999. I have bought items from them before. You're always very helpful and we appreciate it. MT

Thank you much! I just received the case (MBK 16610) from Eurotimez on yesterday. I believe it to be new. It is not the M Series. Additionally, it does not have a gen-like crown. If it did I would probably leave it along. The crown is more Noob-like only not quite as thick. Great info, though. Better than tearing up my new case. No matter how good the case is...if you are not good at adaptation you'll pull your hair out. Thanks again. If you have more info from this, please share. MT

Rolex Gen 3035 Movement w/Hands and Crown
preacher62 replied to preacher62's topic in The Rolex Area
Hey...not prob. It's SS for me, too. I have a TT rep that is really high end, but it stays in the watch box. Once in a while, on Sunday I wear it. It's a really great watch, too. -
Rolex Gen 3035 Movement w/Hands and Crown
preacher62 replied to preacher62's topic in The Rolex Area
Not sure which one you are looking at. The surrounds are gold...not white. Most all the gold or TT subs have a gilted dial and have for a couple of decades. -
Alligoat, Are you saying that a gen-spec tube will not screw in an MBK/MBW case? I just received an MBK case set from ET and one of the things I want to do is change the crown to gen-spec tube and crown. Thanks!
-
This might be the big deal of the day for someone. 3035 with gilted dial and hands and gold crown. $1800.00 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=200400557794&Category=31387&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26its%3DI%26otn%3D2

If you are in the CONUS, then you can buy the $98 watch, get a gen Swiss 2836-2 from Otto Frei for $138 and you know what you have. You will need hands. Get Noob hands for ETA from BK...$20 shipped in CONUS. I have both gen and clone. They are both good, however, when you wind the gen it is like butter...smooth and quiet. When you wind the clones they seem to be clunky, almost like the gears aren't meshing good. I have also had to reassemble the keyless works on the clones...not the gens. Just my $.02.
