Interesting I dont think I have ever heard of a "swing up" crystal before.

I just orderd the 187...dont know if It's your style really. I will look around for some dressy type chronographs and post some suggestions. Hopefully other members will do the same. 187 below. The Cartier Santos is a very classy watch imho..the one below has the A7753 movement...as does the 187...no resessed DW. quite nice actually.

I dont know how they explain the reading taken last winter...but almost -80 is focking Insane. I was In some - 20-25 before and that all most killed me. Mike

Not only am I not that familiar with vintage pieces...It's obvious that Im not up to speed on my centuries either. Thanks for the Info..I guess the ss cover led me to believe that this was also used as pocket watch...as I do know there were popular thru the 20's-40's. Mike

There are some very good and accurate chronographs available. Most of my collection is made up from a7750 chrono movements. Here are a few that come to mind. Tag Aqua 500...and IWC Cousteau diver. The Ebel is a fine choice btw. Maybe you can give us a Idea about size and style...for example..we know you really dont care for Panerais. Mike

Oh I agree..It is trully a beautiful piece. I dont know to much about these early 19 20th(approx 1915) centery pieces...but It looks like this had two purposes....wrist watch and pocket watch...no? Mike

The guy is lying..and trying to buy time as Duke said. 99.99999999999999999999% of the time...when someone is trying to pull some BS on another member....there is always the Infamous "family emergency" without fail. What I find odd about these catastrophic family emergencies are...these people still have time to fart around on the watch forums...wrist shots.. chatting with there forum buddys. oh please. Of course do as you wish....but If It were me..I would ask for a refund due to the lack of honesty. Tell him you just dont feel comfortable with the transaction any longer. I would give him a few days to make things right..If he dosent...file a dispute. Also tell him that you will post his name In this thread. I would also give his name to the admin..so they can keep a eye on his activity here. Best of luck with this issue. Mike
