My favorite is probably the Cartier Santos with the Swiss eta 2824.
Im not big on rectangular watches..but do like the Santos...I also like that Oris and Flying B.

Thanks for the video pho...I remember seeing this a few years back. All I could think about at the time was...has this guy been exposed to a really well made rep?
I guess he has..and what he says is true for the most part...most part that is.
By the way...this is a "Cyclops" Idiot
Mike
I say "It would look awesome" I have a sub buckle In ss form Heroic18. My favorite buckle for sure.
Where is this strap and buckle from? I have to have one of those buckels.

It's best not to wind Asian movements by the crown. the Idea is to get the rotor to spin..so as to build up power through the main spring.
I would "gently" rotate or swivel the watch for a few minutes. If that dosent do it then try to have a local watch repair person look at It. if It's something serious...send it back to China town.
I would let Andrew know asap about your Issues.
Mike
Or my description could be off. I really havent had that much time to research the topic.
This is what I could gather In a few minutes of looking around. Im sure there is much more to it.
Mike
So your watch is not working? Thats what Im getting here. if your min hand Is not moving while your sec hand is. I have never actually heard of this before..If Im understanding you correctly.
Have you ever seen a cheep or pooly plated piece of jewlery? notice how it fades or tarnishes at It gets older. It's something to do with the "augmemted plating" It's not distributed evenly like electroplating. Thats what gives it it's fading...or patina properties.
Of course this would not be a desirable effect most of the time..but when simulating copper or brass...this is Indeed the desired effect.
I dont know enough about the process to give a better explanation...unfortunately this is the best discription I can give atm.
Mike
I agree...but as time go's on I think we will see the use of the Selita SW 500 In the place of the Valjoux 7750. Thats for companys outside of Swatch group anyway.
Mike
I just dont see why the fatories dont make these...they have the know how Im sure. They would have many many orders for these Flyback/Regatta Pams.
Or am I missing something here ..Is the domed saphire crystal to difficult to make?
Mike
It seems the Omega logos on the name alone have happy feet. But on the dials? no happy feet.
Quite strange actually
I mean come on now....everyone likes happy feet.
Mike
Man..that actually looks very nice. thanks for the pic. I give you credit for taking a chance when most here would not...Including myself.
It would be awesome if It darkens up a bit..so as to replicate the darker bronz/copper color of the gen.
That being said...looks pretty dam good to my eye.
If you have the time...a.few more pics would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again.
Mike
