Yes and no. There was a blue sub made just for Japan. If I recall, the blue color was a bit more gray but I have only seen one picture.

The best version is the 42mm that is shared by many of the dealers. The big flaw on that model is the cross. The correct cross can be sourced from the old model. I got my replacement cross by ordering the old dial from Silix.

As a follow up, the gen VCO does have AR coating on the underside of the crystal inside the case.

It is true some people do dislike the modern MBWs but I know I sure enjoy my LV! Besides, where else can you get a laser etched crown showing the S as it came from being serviced by a Rolex Service Center? Congrats on your purchase. It is very, very nice.
