While I would like to say no rep will be perfect, when one is marketed as such, I suppose the consumer has the right to expect it. If you are willing to do mods, I would recommend searching the photo gallery for MBW. The modern MBWs have a small laser etched coronet with a nice surprise inside. Good luck!

The seller of the original pic insists the insert is genuine and has supplied two more pictures. The 9PM marker still looks crooked but they all do I think in relation to the opposite marker. Could it be the curvature or possible bending of the insert?

RSC standard is to replace hands with modern ones during service. As for the dial, no idea but I have seen several genuine DRSDs who had the dial replaced during service and were repainted red..

I have not done the cross transplant yet as I am just sitting on the old dial without the new version to install it into. ThomasNg gave me the heads up on the AR coating on the underside of the crystal. You are correct; there are many different types of AR coating and I am completely ignorant about them
