  2. loooks great! does it make that twanny noise when your flick it open? Had a gen years ago... I've lost it since, but it had a very nice sound when you flick it open.
  3. that custom strap looks great... i like the single hole ... makes it look unique.... also it'll tell you who's paying attn to your watch
  4. I think i'd be too busy checkming out the globe and not too worried about the time man it looks really cool though
  5. Either buy cheap or borrow for a little while... 9. hi doc, i dont think you have too much to worry about. as seen in the pix above posted by The Zigmeister. I was asking some very specific questions because I was getting myself confused.

    PAM 051

very nice... interesting the lume on the gen is like white while the rep has the greenish tinge
  13. hehe i'm trying to get my missus a nice watch before this happens
  14. thanks for the comments guys. it is a very interesting excersise for me. I am unable to see the differences that has been highligheds... 'cept maybe 1) crown guard coming to a sharper peak in the gen that Sql_pl pictured. 2) 16600 on the case back that is wrong 3) maybe the difference between the thickness... though with out comparing I wont be able to identify it.
  15. I'd like to hear some opinion on this seadweller. what are the flaws that you can see?
  16. thanks i'll look into those watches. I was thinking about a bigpilot as an option as well. Looks like I've got more to choose from
  17. Avatar on the left is easier to read... might just be something i've gotten used to. I like the idea of the IMG code sizing down large pix...
  18. the reason i choose the PAM is because they are occupying most of my waking thoughts well the fact that they are nice and clear and also masculine pieces. recently, I thikn I have seen some IWC watches that looked large, and the it was black numbers on white dial. which looks very clear, but I dont think it is as fun a watch as a PAM
  19. He doesnt get to move very much, only a few steps each day. So I was concerned about the automatic not being very practical. I might just have to investigate with the purchase of a power reserve model just to double check hehe thanks for the info on the 6497 movement, i'll keep it in mind.
  20. it currently slides to one side and pops out of the other end and I can feel it if I run my finger along the side. I tried to move it out with no luck, will try to soak it in a bag over night first before I try it again. cheers
  21. I wanted to get a persent for someone who's not very mobile, and cannot see 100%. The PAM I have is big enough for them to see easily. So I was thinking, is there any quartz movement that will fit any of the 44mm PAMs? I think a base would be ideal. I love to find a base with a sandwich dial but I havent seen one.
  22. oh fark!! what do i do now after i've put on wd40? I tried to rinse it with some demineralised water... i dont think it helped.
  23. Thanks, I'll check out the silicon spray and tools options. It moves but doesnt seem to be far enough. hehe shipping from ofrei is more expensive than the tool
