loooks great! does it make that twanny noise when your flick it open? Had a gen years ago... I've lost it since, but it had a very nice sound when you flick it open.
Either buy cheap or borrow for a little while... I want to practice taking it apart etc
I remember my first portable cassette player, took i think 6 D cells and I took it apart but when I put it back together, the case wouldnt close lol.... and I think i had spare screws... I dont really want to do that to my 1st rep.... not just yet
my wrist is 6.5" it doesnt look too bad. but people will comment on it, liek OMG thats not a watch thats a CLOCK!!!! hehehe
... now if u think the watch looks goofy on my ....... i dont know what to say
hi doc, i dont think you have too much to worry about. as seen in the pix above posted by The Zigmeister. I was asking some very specific questions because I was getting myself confused.
thanks for the comments guys. it is a very interesting excersise for me. I am unable to see the differences that has been highligheds... 'cept maybe
1) crown guard coming to a sharper peak in the gen that Sql_pl pictured.
2) 16600 on the case back that is wrong
3) maybe the difference between the thickness... though with out comparing I wont be able to identify it.
the reason i choose the PAM is because they are occupying most of my waking thoughts well the fact that they are nice and clear and also masculine pieces.
recently, I thikn I have seen some IWC watches that looked large, and the it was black numbers on white dial. which looks very clear, but I dont think it is as fun a watch as a PAM
He doesnt get to move very much, only a few steps each day. So I was concerned about the automatic not being very practical.
I might just have to investigate with the purchase of a power reserve model just to double check hehe
thanks for the info on the 6497 movement, i'll keep it in mind.
it currently slides to one side and pops out of the other end and I can feel it if I run my finger along the side. I tried to move it out with no luck, will try to soak it in a bag over night first before I try it again.
cheers
I wanted to get a persent for someone who's not very mobile, and cannot see 100%. The PAM I have is big enough for them to see easily.
So I was thinking, is there any quartz movement that will fit any of the 44mm PAMs? I think a base would be ideal. I love to find a base with a sandwich dial but I havent seen one.
Thanks, I'll check out the silicon spray and tools options. It moves but doesnt seem to be far enough.
hehe shipping from ofrei is more expensive than the tool
