Thinking of going for a Great White 1665 and a rubber strap for my 3719. I've only bought from Andrew (flawless deal). How is his communication and shipping?

Did they actually stop making these? Only on the rubber strap? Jimminy Cricket! And I was considering selling my slevin.

I've seen some selling on ebay for around $9 for a pair, but i guess there is no way of being sure they are rolex springbars.

How can one tell a rolex spring bar from a spring bar I can pick up at a watchmaker? What is the average cost if a pair?

I am assuming it has an Asian 2846 clone? The age old debate, do you swap out with an ETA? From my understanding sending it off every 5 years for a service would return some longevity in the movts life. If I was to do some major mods an ETA movt would perhaps 20-30 years? Is my thinking correct? With ETA clamping down on selling their movts is it next to impossible to find a slow beat movt?

Did they ever come with a flat top crystal?

Is it possible to put a SEL bracelet on the 1665? Anyone have problems with the end links making noise?

Thank you. It is just my opinion (about two time bracelets). My first nice watch was a two time tag 1500 that I had for 10 years. That probably turned me off them. I can't wear leather straps due to allergies but I dont ridicule them. There are a lot of cool straps I wish I could wear. Kinda like rubber straps, the Marathon runner strap being the best I have ever experienced. I plan on buying the strap for mu slevin. I hope it works out.

So gen springbars are different than the kind I can pick up from a watch smith? They are actually ntamd labeled springbars? I've seen several websites and jewelers sell them.

How is the t-39 different from with what comes on the watch?

Welcome to the club. I've had my gen 1 for about a year know. I just changed the battery and I lost sound! A spring isn't connection. I figured I's save a few bucks but now I'm off to the watch smith. It is the Ultimate tool watch. Ti, 3 chronos, 3 alarms, it doesn't get any better. One of these days I'm going to do the gen 2 conversion.

Is it a gen or a quality aftermarket? - flat top datewheel. i get it's a date wheel but tell me more. You got me thinking of going the vintage route.

You are right, it is a little harsh. i'm not a fan of two tone bracelet or blue suits and blazers.

I've have been waiting for the infamous bklm1234 Seadweller for going on 20 months and bought a deepsea till bk's was ready. The Deepsea is just too big on my wrist. Thinking of going vintage, either Great White, COMEX, or double red. I'd like to here from owners of vintage and current 16600 SD owners. Jackjo over at repgeek supposedly makes a pretty good SD 16600 with a gen Swiss ETA option. Trying to decide which way to go. One worry about a vintage SD I have is the height. I can pull off no more than a 15mm height. Any larger Is a bit much. I wonder how tall the crystal is on the vintage pieces. I have seen some pics where it sit rather high.

Gong on almost 20 months I'm thinking of moving on. I bought a Deepsea to get me by but just.sold it.Bauer it doesnt fit right on my wrist. I am thinking of going vintage 1665 or a 16600. I've heard good things about Jacko's modded Seadwellers. What Do fellow members recommend?
